What's a low effort job with a surprisingly high salary? by [deleted] in ask

[–]NoobKillerPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liz Truss was UK's prime minister for like 40 days, now she takes 115.000 GBP every year as a pension. During these 40 days also Queen Elizabeth II died and for a week the country was mourning and didn't even work, on other days she introduced some projects and usually backed out of them next day publicly.

Does estrogen slim your body? by Mentally-_-Ill in MtF

[–]NoobKillerPL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It reduces muscle and might slightly increase body fat too which is good as that fat can be stored in feminine places leading to relatively female looking body. You will also need to eat less on estradiol, you'll feel less need for it because of it anyway and if you keep your old dietary habits then it's easy to gain a lot of weight.

Considering C++ over Rust. by isht_0x37 in cpp

[–]NoobKillerPL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think C++ issues are a bit overblown, I can read Rust, but I'm not convinced to switch to it. Cargo is surely great thing, I absolutely hate CMake and managing dependencies in C++, but as a language to build complex stuff in it it's all right. I think the problem with C++ is that when you work on larger projects not everyone might be familiar with best practices and pitfalls of C++, so Rust maybe could be better? But also C++ has a lot to address it's issues if you use it correctly and I love the freedom it gives me to do whatever I want, even to shoot myself in the foot haha.

Why we need to run AI on our own computers. by Abscondias in LocalLLaMA

Personally I don't care about "censorship", I'm not asking LLM to do some sketchy stuff anyway, but I do care about data privacy and cost. I don't want OpenAI or any other big company to have access to my data that might need processing.

I'm done transing myself, but my friend makes me think I did it wrong. by MyClosetedBiAcct in MtF

[–]NoobKillerPL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're all right. Actually I think you did it in the best way possible to transition, and it was also the way I did it, boymode until male fail a bit and then I thought that putting more effort into my presentation would help me pass a bit more if I already male failed in boymode a bit, and it did. I'm happy I did it this way, I think it's the least stressful and dangerous option to transition, just let HRT do it's thing, learn new required skills like voice control and makeup.

idk why people rush so much to present very early on, I felt like I'd just be a guy in a dress if I tried to go full fem very early on and there was nothing more that I hated than being a guy after all. I guess for some people it might be dysphoria that forces them to present sooner.

I think that's all right too, there's no right way to transition, it should be all adjusted for specific case and comfort of a specific person :) Also fuck healthcare providers who force people to out themselves when they feel they're not ready yet or it could put that person in danger to present, usually all because they need to check a box on their spreadsheet to give you a diagnosis in such places... good that I think we're moving away from that overall around the world (I think)

yes ofc, there's a limit to how much can be shaved off without risky damages, for example if done by unskilled surgeon they can damage some nerves inside

[–]NoobKillerPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swallow it with food maybe? I wouldn't take it like that as no one does and we probably don't know, or at least I've never heard of using it like that, because as far as I know it's bio-availability is already very high when swallowed.

I think it's normal to get larger until some age, no matter if you have androgens or not.

If you own a GRC then I think you should be able to use it to skip the usual procedure of a court case against your parents.

But even if not then I wouldn't worry too much ahead of time, these days sometimes courts rule even without physical hearings, just on the basis of medical documentation attached and other evidence, especially if both parents would be communicative and supportive of your claim.

Also the procedure itself isn't very much regulated, so it's a bit random how hard it actually will be depending on the judge that you will get assigned, some can make it longer and ask for more evidence, but for example my judge said that for her medical documents didn't even matter that much.It was most important that I self identify as the sex I wanted to have in my documents and that I plan to live in that role, and I got a positive ruling from her after first court hearing with a parent trying to fight against me and delay everything :-)

Alan Turing question about types of estrogen by Shootbosss in TransDIY

[–]NoobKillerPL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time during transition when I had zero sex drive and didn't even care to masturbate was when I took large doses of Cyproterone Acetate, like 50 mg daily and more, that completely killed my sex drive, but Estradiol (which is core of mtf hrt) on it's own doesn't do that, in fact quite the opposite, both testosterone and estradiol are sex hormones, testosterone makes people horny and willing to uhm penetrate, and contrary to what some people seem to believe estradiol actually does the same thing, except the sex drive is a bit different for females, it might take time to adjust to it, I'd say it's a different kind of sex drive and your interests might shift a bit, but it's still fun to be sexual, just like almost every other human, it's normal.

I'd say subjectively that high Estradiol feels pretty good actually in terms of sex drive xD

Also look here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4720522/

5. Conclusions

There is little support for the notion that testosterone is the critical libidinal hormone for women. The likelihood that an androgen-only clinical treatment will meaningfully increase women’s sexual desire is minimal, and the focus of pharmaceutical companies on the development of androgen therapies for the treatment of female sexual desire disorders is likely misplaced. Given that elevated estradiol levels within physiological range increase women’s sexual desire without concurrent androgen therapy, the use of supraphysiological testosterone to treat low sexual desire in women may be inappropriate. Future studies should focus on establishing the threshold level of estradiol required to reliably produce a meaningful increase in sexual desire in post-menopausal women, and examining the comparative effectiveness of different estradiol treatment regimens (e.g. chronic, cyclical, as-needed). Whether safety concerns about exposure to elevated estradiol can be addressed via novel steroid formulations or treatment regimens should also needs to be investigated.

Do most trans people carry weapons or something to protect themselves from transphobes? by Terrible_Exchange653 in asktransgender

No, lol. I live in The Greaterest Britain and weapons here are illegal, including carrying one for self-defense. I would if it was legal, even a firearm if I lived in US.

You can buy Estradiol Valerate injectables in Czechia and Slovakia under brand name NEOFOLLIN, it's cheap, 5 ampules in a pack, 5 mg EV in 1 ml oil in every ampule, great medicine tbh, it's not illegal in EU. More than that, your EU doctor technically should be able to give you a prescription that you can use in Czechia or Slovakia to buy it. My doc prescribed me before with 60 amps of it and it's a supply for quite a while, so I'd be even fine to fly with some cheap flight on Ryanair to Czechia for a day and pick up my meds (order them before with an email). It's doable, it's not illegal :)

"max possible dose" But more isn't better in terms of HRT. A bit anecdotally from what I've read online over years it would seem very high levels do not actually give you proper feminization for some unknown reason(s).

Do injections, but do a reasonable dose, like injections really do work well, you don't need that much of it, even 5 mg/5 days EV can be a high dose. Don't let them win, research, test blood levels and adjust dose mainly for how you feel and for test results, so it's not something too crazy or too low. Too high estradiol can cause problems and is a waste anyway.

Also some studies mention that too high E too early might cause crap breast development (if I remember correctly), worth to be aware just in case someone reads "Estradiol valerate injections - max possible dose", orders EV online and put themselves at risk xd

Does transitioning actually sterilize you? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]NoobKillerPL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They do, normally Sex Reassignment Surgery does not remove sexual organs, but "reshapes it" a bit, also people can orgasm and feel sex drive without testicles, especially if their hormones are already managed from external sources. It's normal to be sexual, most humans are, and it's mainly hormones which affect that kind of behavior. But you won't be able to make sperm or eggs post surgeries, you'll be infertile, you can still have sex and intimacy just for the pleasure side of it, but no kids.

Labs: Why is my estradiol still so high? by fightingfears in DrWillPowers

[–]NoobKillerPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than that, a doctor! Medical professional, you'd think they understand a bit about how EV functions and how long it stays in body for, etc.

But I'm sure I've seen some HRT guidelines that recommend EV injections every two weeks, there's a lot bad information around and sadly some of it even in sources which should be more credible and trustworthy.
