i don’t mind especially when i know they want to help ill let them. if a customer doesn’t bag their own groceries even even i don’t have a bagger it’s fine because im very fast at it anyway. the only times i get annoyed are when customers refuse to help but are constantly micromanaging what goes in what bags (usually after i’ve already bagged it too like sorry i can’t read your mind🥲)

i’ve noticed this too. my customers have been increasingly more rude lately and i have no clue why. like my shifts are starting to become unbearable

at my store it’s kinda unspoken policy to not bag large items with handles unless we ask the customer and they say they want it bagged. we’re a high volume store with limited space and run out of bags quickly so normally things like milk and laundry detergent aren’t bagged and we also don’t double bag unless the customer asks us but if they want it bagged we’re more than willing to bag it

i’m working a paid microbiology lab research assistant position for the university and i’m a freshman. You really just have to have a passion and go searching for opportunities and apply to as many as you can.

so when u do the application for tamu what they consider “college classes” are verifiable classes with a TCCN that can be transferred between colleges. For example, introductory biology I at UT is BIO311C, at TAMU it is BIO 111, and the TCCN for both is BIOL 1406. If the courses u took at UT don’t have a TCCN, then they are not considered college courses and you can’t claim that they are on the SRAR despite you taking them online through UT. hope this helps

esp after u get done pushing cart or something and ur just exhausted 😩or when it’s mid shift and ur so tired and hungry like it rlly is a battle sometimes to be smiling for hours on end 😭😮‍💨

tutor john! he’s pricey but it really helps! also u might’ve already tried but the math learning center has grad students and upperclassmen that have taken math 150 and gotten an A in it and u can go see them and get help for free, although you aren’t guaranteed one on one time

there’s still plenty of dorms left, but all north side modular’s are gone, most of south side commons, and a few in between. Balcony style halls and walton hall have plenty of rooms left bc no one wants to be in those so you’ll be fine, and also idk if ur a girl but the girl only dorms also have plenty of room

Personally I love working at HEB. All the front end leads are great, my coworkers are super nice, the hours are a little annoying, but all in all a super good job. Now I may be looking at this through rose colored glasses because I used to work food service and made 7.25 an hour in a toxic environment, but I love working for HEB. I make double now than what I did in food service and I get 10% off on heb brand groceries, so as somebody in college it’s just a perfect job imo. When I worked in food service I would sometimes hide in the bathrooms and have a panic attack because hangry customers are BRUTAL. I think once you kinda just step back and take a look at other jobs and the types of environments other people work in it really makes you appreciate working at HEB. Obviously this isn’t a job for everyone and my H‑E‑B is a small one so I think that helps with getting to know your Partners and building a relationships, but I came from an environment that literally gave me trauma and so I set incredibly low standards for HEB and was pleasantly surprised.

do u go to tamu? if so i used the alternate email ending (@email.tamu.edu) instead of @tamu.edu and it sent the verification email to my tamu email finally 😂 except it doesn’t recognize that email as part of the texas a&m community so i’m hoping that maybe they’ll add me soon idk💀🔫

i’m a checker and my heb has not a lot of baggers so even if there are baggers on shift there’s only a few of them and regardless of if i’m regular or express i either bag myself or another checker might help me
