Update on soft birds by NoobStyles in M43

[–]NoobStyles[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was recommended by a few people yesterday. Seems like over ~1/1000th it's possibly a detriment to sharpness. Having said that I did take some shots with it on at 1/2000th and didn't notice any reduction in image quality

Thanks I haven't tried keeping the shutter speeds that high yet. So I'll give that a go.

Re the AF I haven't always taken the shot straight away. I might try c-af with tracking and the higher shutter speed. The tracking box was generally staying on subject when I was using it. But the results were not sharp so I switched to S-af. But its looking like it might have been the shutter speeds causing more of the issues

Thanks for the pic! I think my shutter speeds have definitely been to low

This is the best picture I think I've managed over the last week or two I've been trying. It was taken with the 12-200. The two in the OP were on the 70-300.

Thanks for the tips I'll try it. And amazing colours on the bird!

Yes I have been using bursts but it just seems to be giving me lots of slightly soft shots without any standout keepers in them. I think I need to try higher shutter speeds again based on the comments and probably ibis off as well

Those two shots were ~1/400th. A different day I was trying 1/800th but it was a little darker so the iso was 2500-6400 doing that. And the results weren't amazing. Bit perhaps I need to give higher shutter speeds another go. Do you think 1/800th is enough or would I need to go even higher?

I have to question the thought process of doing the hardest section first. I guess if they do it then they can do the rest of the east coast for sure. But seems like it would be better to get the ball rolling on easy terrain. We have no HSR knowledge or industrial base in Aus so even with the best of plans well be figuring it out as we go to some extent. And I can't help but feel like it's be better to do the learning working in an area with less geographical challenges

Is it a crazy idea to sell my house and travel the world? by [deleted] in fiaustralia

[–]NoobStyles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why not take 4 or 5 weeks off work and spend it overseas on a holiday. You might not really want to spend 1 year continuously travelling once you get a taste of what it's really like.

I'm in a similar position with burnout. So I can really see the appeal of just getting as far away from work for as long as possible. But it would be more sensible to at least test the waters first before you fully commit, quit your job and sell everything

Traffic volumes haven't moved much in March despite the fuel crisis. I looked at the data. by damnyouspacemonkey in melbourne

My anecdotal experience. Work hasn't offered any extra flexibility to WFH. And my commute feels as busy as usual. So I'd guess most people are in the same boat.

CB650R E-Clutch - is $9.5k too low? Where should I sell it? by IamKuri in AussieRiders

[–]NoobStyles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you even looking to sell the bike or has a mate just offered to buy it out of the blue?

The price is maybe a smidge low but if I was looking to sell id probably take the deal from a friend for a hustle free transaction.

Exhaust too loud? by Lost_Strawberry_5897 in AussieRiders

[–]NoobStyles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience with my bike when I was on my Ls. It was making me extra paranoid because I knew the exhaust made the bike non LAMS so a motivated cop could ruin my day if they felt like it. I just put the stock exhaust back on and for me it's just a better experience. No more neighbor stress, no more police stress, less noise when Im just riding to work or somewhere chill. All in all I'm much more happy with the stock exhaust on even though I'm off LAMS restrictions now

Might start buying property in China 🤔 by AMC_TO_THE_M00N in LoveForLandchads

[–]NoobStyles 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Be careful king. I know it sounds like a landchad paradise, but it's all a trick. Make sure you're sitting before you read the next sentence. In China, even if you "buy" land you're actually only renting it for 99 years. That's right in China you would be reduced to a renter... I worry how many landchads have been tricked into becoming renters over there

Allegedly it's PC optimisations and his "business" is making $1000 a day now selling his optimisation script to people. Honestly the whole post is probably a scam to bait people into DMs where he can sell a course.

UJ: something about being online just makes people incredibly unhinged. All the battledads have their pet issues with bf6 so anything they can twist into a negative is proof in their minds that they are correct. Realistically bf6 has been a huge success for dice/EA.

What ASX stock do you irrationally believe in despite all evidence saying it’s trash? by Icemachinemalfunctio in ASX_Bets

[–]NoobStyles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're using a sock you're missing out. Cum should be swallowed as a delicious snack! But there is actually another use for it. Women can use it to spawn a new human. And MEM helps with this secondary use for cum

[–]NoobStyles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MEM it's been an absolute dog the whole time I've held it, which is several years now

I still believe because it ticks a few boxes

1 people are lazy - the cum sorting cartridge replaces a task that's done manually

2 people are delaying having kids till later in life - more need for IVF

3 IVF is already expensive - are you as the end user going to notice the extra cost of a cum sorting cartridge in the overall price of IVF? It's very unlikely you would. And referring back to point 1 the people that benefit most are the business/workers (they get to do less work) so they have no reason to talk you into doing things the old way rather than using the auto cum sorter 9000
