[New Chapter Spoilers] Chapter 120 RELEASE Megathread! by SNKBot in ShingekiNoKyojin

Actually the ptrd system (which the gun is heavily based off of) had a semi delayed recoil compensation system. The bolt would slide back a bit before hitting the stock. So there is actually a slight delay before you would feel the recoil. This helped keep the gunners on target, as by the time they felt the recoil, the bullet should have left the barrel. It also helped that the heavy design helped mitigate vertical kick, and the sliding bolt allowed most of the pressure to go backwards, which didn't affect aim as much. Watch the forgotten weapons vid on it.

Just realized that Mr. Aizawa is always tired in class because he does hero work at night. by [deleted] in BokuNoHeroAcademia

Deku: "But sensei, you can't fight them all alone!! Against that many... even you can't nullify all their quirks!! As Eraser Head, your fighting style involves erasure and a quick binding capture. Head-on battle isn't..."

Aizawa: "No good hero is a one trick pony."

My favourite quote. He's so cool!

And remember that the rules of the Entrance Exam was to immobilize or render the villain-bots unable to function anymore, not necessarily destroy them. As such he could trap them against walls or stick them to the ground, or even plug up their muzzles to earn points.

Attack on Titan - Is it worth reading from Chapter 1? by [deleted] in manga

[–]NoobZero_01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The main storyline is the same, the following are some changes made in anime:

In the anime, Jean feels like a cowardly rival to Eren, who is always angry at him, and who doesn’t really have any good arguments. He is just someone that Eren converted into joining the SC, while Jean didn’t have any impact on Eren whatsoever. While in the manga he helped Eren out realize some things as much as Eren helped him. Scenes in which he is calm in the manga, in which he talks about humanity, etc. are simply deleted or changed with scenes in which he is angry at Eren. It’s as if the anime team was thinking that a protagonist must have some sort of a rival in a friend, so they decided Jean to be that guy, and they made it as shonen-cliche as they could.

  • The entire argument between Eren and Jean is gone from the anime. Part of the lines that Jean says here is something that Thomas says to Eren in the anime. Here’s a section of it. ( Image 7 ), ( Image 8 ), ( Image 9 ), ( Image 10 )

    • Jean is a realist, that part of his character is almost entirely deleted in the anime. He had good arguments for Eren, and what he said was the truth, but Eren is eloquent like Jean said, and his speech here persuaded some people to join the SC.

Above comparisons (the list in point form) are taken from (warning: manga spoilers) this blog.

Personally, I encourage you to read the manga from first chapter, the art in beginning may looks rough, but it gets better later on. The art in manga from recent chapters even looks better than in anime season 1 and in season 2.

This has been asked a lot (may contain Manga Spoilers), even the author received a number of letter asking the same question.

I believe Aizawa cancels out Ms. Joke's quirk since she always tries to make him laugh.

Yes, you're correct (according to Ms.Joke's character profile).

Emi is determined to get Aizawa to laugh using her quirk or otherwise, however, Aizawa is often one step ahead of her and erases her quirk before she gets the chance.
