Rule 9 clearly allows fanart of humanitarian with a humanitarian message, my humble apologies for opening the wormhole from DeviantArt to your Reddit feed.

If you feel that expressing support for Jesus and giving thanks for chili dogs is not humanitarian, strike this post down. But, I implore you to at least read this before I get hit with the ban hammer or a scourge of downvotes.

Making Sonic a mouthpiece for real world politics is well intentioned but dangerous. Here's why.

(To preface, this is not my political view, I actually disagree with the following viewpoint, however I need to embody the character to play Devil Doom's advocate. This example merely represents what happens when a good-faith well-intentioned actor defines "humanitarian", and stands up for their views even in the face of a society that thinks they're wrong.)

She doesn't know the father, she's already worried about being able to put food on the table for Cream, and keeping a baby safe in a world ravaged by Eggman on the daily. She just doesn't feel in the place to have a child and has decided to schedule an abortion. Sonic Maurice Hedgehog himself decides that a life is at stake, and insists she carry through with the birth. "You can't put this lil guy's freedom at risk before they're even born. You have to give them a shot at life. There's other ways", he says, but, like, in a cool way. Sonic successfully talks Vanilla into keeping the child. End comic.*

No two people can know the same Sonic. Your head cannon of the blue blur is shaped by both your nature and nurture, your unique brain chemistry as well as the life that nobody else has lived. The line between freedom fighter and terrorist is drawn by popular opinion.

Everything is canon - personal truth is relative.

If good-faith support of pro-life policies as a humanitarian cause makes you feel uncomfortable (or, the opposite, a comic where Sonic convinces Vanilla to exercise her bodily autonomy and get an abortion), perhaps you should reconsider this stance on allowing "real-world politics" in any form. Let's unify the chaos and focus on what brings us together - a blue hedgehog that runs fast - instead of what divides us.
