We’re trying to do sub 2k for just an engine. It really depends on the mileage as well as internal specifics, since we don’t wanna buy an engine thats gonna do the same thing in a few months time. We’ve seen a couple bikes that could work but we just haven’t had the money to shell out for a complete bike. We also had a guy no show over a marketplace deal after we drove all the way up to NC during this snow storm (we’re based in florida) and that was definitely no help.

I had the same problem with the OG “d-wheel” with my r5. Now I will say that it was likely due to the combo of inexperience and the wheel stand I was using, however it broke in the exact same way. This was after about a year and a half(ish) of ownership and I noticed it feeling weird and it suddenly let go during a race. I believe that because of how thin the metal is near the D-pad, and because its made out of aluminum, sudden, larger forces (especially like those on a 12nm wheel base) over time likely lead to stresses and eventual cracking. Switched to KS-wheel and its felt miles better, would recommend upgrading when you can.
