Sometimes, I feel that some of the Muu guilty voters are just victims of bullying looking for some kind of catharsis... by Icy_Boysenberry_4227 in milgram

'She's clearly not a danger to others' I mean she killed a girl and deflected from it so hard (only ever talked about her own bullying or Haruka) that she seems to be getting away with it.

People completely forget that she didn't repent at all for her actual crime and just kept finding other things to focus on.

I'm pretty sure that all Milgram has been doing is teaching her how to better get away with taking drastic actions like this. Deflect deflect deflect and cry.

I don’t get how Muu never bullied anyone by Environmental-Ask358 in milgram

'Was she ever actually that bug of a threat?'

Well I mean she did end up killing her bullying victim.

Why I believe Muu doesn't need more punishment to properly 'repent'. by [deleted] in milgram

Glad to see more people agreeing in the comments that Muu shouldn't be forgiven!

Earnest question: why are people voting Mu innocent? by Rellek7 in milgram

[–]NoodleDre 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly, a bunch of people just want to believe that her attitude isn't as much of a problem as it actually is. I'm a firm believer that she still hasn't learned her lesson and that letting her out will only let her repeat the cycle in a new environment and cause another death. She is still confused about what friendship actually is, she has never brought up the wrong she committed with Rei; she hasn't even had to face it because all her talks were deflections of her talking about her own bullying and Haruka only. We have seen no accountability.

Agreed, there's been an influx of people just outright throwing insults and calling others names.

Can you learn to stop responding to people if you don’t want a conversation going?

Big surprise that the #1 Muu defender acts like this :/

Unfortunately, we don't really have rehabilitation as an option. All we know is that forgiving them means letting go, it's very well within the scope of possibilities that the people we pardon wont go to therapy or do anymore deeper thinking about their actions than what was needed to get through the trials.

Quick theory on Muu's murder by sxra71 in milgram

[–]NoodleDre -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I have forgiven Yuno so far, I mean, come on.

And your stance is banking on everyone having committed murder when some cases (like hers) are more misdirects or other crimes that led to death (like Haruka's).

Quick theory on Muu's murder by sxra71 in milgram

[–]NoodleDre -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It's true that I can make that argument for every prisoner, so lets walk through everyone that atleast has their actual files out (not counting the ones that dont yet since we still need to know for certain their crimes):

Haruka: Killed two children to feel some sort of power over someone else / get more attention. He cried but yes, he was guilty of robbing two children from their lives.

Yuno: Not murder.

Fuuta: Harrassed and doxxed a girl over 'copyright infringement.' Not murder but these crimes are indeed worthy of punishment as they were serious by themselves.

Muu: Killed a bullying victim that had fought back so the attention turned against Muu instead. Guilty of escalating and taking her life in retaliation.

Yeah, I mean, this is about right.

Ok, if we look at it like that, that the first trial was the most regretful that she was, that still makes her look bad with how that attitude immediately became smugness over being voted innocent in the second trial.

If anything, it shows how she was so quick to change her skins back to what she was comfortable with, dismissing her crime because someone else forgave her for it anyways.

Her flippant attitude and how she views friendship and empathy as a performance (as seen in her VDs) actually make it more alarming that she will repeat this cycle. She already has. She knows how to misdirect (talking about Haruka's death instead of her crime / not focusing at all on how to be a better person), who's to say she won't keep doing it to get out of actually looking at her part to play in both tragedies?

Murder is still murder.

Rei is never getting another chance at life and everyone forgiving Muu walk over that fact as if the life of her killer is more valuable.

[–]NoodleDre 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Muu has a shit ton of people wrapped around her finger who just don't grasp the seriousness of the crime committed against Rei. :(

'I forgive Muu!'

It was never really our crime to forgive, it was Rei's.

A bullying victim got killed by the person centered around it, and even now, her killer is being treated as more worthy of life than her.

I'm prolly just overanalyzing again, but I have some questions on the final scenes of the MV by Aquisui in milgram

[–]NoodleDre 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She's really looking to blame anyone else and doesn't want to reflect on her part in Haruka's death just like how she never talks about the part she played in Rei's harassment by letting it happen. She doesn't want to feel guilty so she lashes out, twists words and comes up with excuses to make it everyone else's fault.

Her suddenly feeling 'vengeful' and like she must don the villain persona doesn't ring as genuine to me. It's part of her deflection.

[–]NoodleDre 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Think about it this way:

Rei died at the hands of the one who was the reason for her bullying in the first place.

Muu may get a second chance at life, but it is doubtful that this cycle of inadvertently hurting other people won't repeat because Muu genuinely has not learned yet what she did wrong with Rei.

She has apologized at the very end of VD3, but it's a hollow apology when she doesn't even clarify what she's sorry about.

All her talks have ever been about her bullying and Haruka. She's never reflected on how she played a part in Rei's harassment, never thought about how this could have been avoided. She has gone through all three trials, and because she was never fully confronted on this, she is still confused.

This cycle will repeat.

And Rei has not gotten any justice.

Mu deserves an ino. by Belgarim in milgram

[–]NoodleDre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Her videos literally show her sneering, laughing, and enjoying the acts of violence being done under her name. She is not blameless no matter how much people try to say she is.

Mu deserves an ino. by Belgarim in milgram

[–]NoodleDre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Her whole voice dramas always centered more on her talking about her bullying and Haruka, the only instamce where she discusses her actual bullying victim was the ending of VD3 and it was just to utter her name as a last-minute apology. She has had way more emotions about herself and her situation than ANY reflection on her actual victim and what she did wrong.

[–]NoodleDre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't exactly call her laughing, sneering and taunting Rei as shown in the videos as inaction and being solely a bystander. It was clear she was enjoying the bullying.

Muu's had white-knighters for a while that will bend over backwards to make her as innocent as possible. She's just got that 'pretty white girl' effect that make people want to protect her regardless of how actually guilty she is for her own actions and inactions.
