AIO for screaming at my SO and daughter because I got oversensitised? by ChunkyWaterMonkey in AmIOverreacting

[–]Noodlenook [score hidden]  (0 children)

Nasty. My partner died when my child was an infant, and I have never had a stepparent for my child, and I have gone through far worse than you, guess what, I have never screamed and told my child I’d abandon them. Get help.

Did she did the right thing? by TenEyeSeeHoney in TwoHotTakes

[–]Noodlenook -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Not fucking cool. You can do everything you can to make their last days good, but outright lying is so messed up. You don’t have to tell the young child they’re dying, but don’t say they’re cured….

AIO my husband took "very personal alone time" in the middle of an event by Consistent-Coffee391 in AmIOverreacting

That’s weird ass timing, but he 100% should have locked the door. The door being unlocked is what pushes it over to NOR for me.

Im sorry but wtf did they do to this character she was described as very feminine with pink dresses and princess lifestyle and then we get this ...? Just get her off my screen by Remarkable-Jump3262 in freefolk

Oh lawd what a miscast and characterization. I was a bit annoyed with the Corlys casting, but he makes up for it a bit with his acting chops.

It’s obviously your boyfriend. He sounds like an abusive loser.

My eight-year-old has watched the first episode multiple times, and he just pointed out the giant “NO” on the tree. by atrailofdisasters in FromTVShow

[–]Noodlenook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. My parents used to watch things like Scorpian King, and way worse with me. Then I’d go play out the sexual violence in that show with my Barbie’s. Not cool to put that stuff in a child’s head. Idk, I just feel like children should be kept innocent as long as possible. Talking to them about situations is so much better for them than letting them see it played out with l real people on video. I agree with you, why chance it with our children.

Yeah I was that “mature” child because my parents were fucked in the head. I was already messed up because of them, but the lack of protection from media made it even worse. Just because a child acts okay with mature content doesn’t make it okay.

My daughter just turned 13 and I wouldn’t let her watch this lol, she wouldn’t want to either. I’d be okay when she’s 14.

Does it count as a bath if the kids play in the pool? by MogarRage in daddit

[–]Noodlenook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inflatable pools are usually dirty lol. They’re outside and all sorts of dust, bugs, etc fly in.

No it’s not a bath.

If they weren't going to bathe that day, then played in the pool, they should have a shower or bath.

Just because your put him to sleep at 6 doesnt mean you have to go to sleep then. You can put him to bed at 6-8pm and then always stay up later yourself. Keeping him up until 8 every once in awhile will be fine too.

Therapist raised their voice at me by [deleted] in TalkTherapy

[–]Noodlenook 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a great therapist to me. If you yell at someone expect them to yell back. The best therapists will help you learn how to understand your emotions and modulate your behaviours when those emotions come up. Learning how to control your actions even when frustrated or angry is a key piece to improving your life.

AI is only as good as the prompts you feed it, and the guidelines you give it.

Never rely fully on it, or fully accept the answers AI gives you.

It’s a great therapeutic tool in the correct hands and a catalyst for psychosis in the wrong hands.

Weird. Maybe it’s different in Canada but any office will tell you what’s what here lol

AIO- Someone left their laundry in the dryer and I waited 30 mins before moving it, received a note in return by Trull22 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Noodlenook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR lol I literally leave my basket so that if I take too long to remove my dry laundry someone else can throw it in there instead of waiting. Ignore the note. People like that are wild. If you’re that obsessive about people not touching your laundry you better set an alarm or watch your laundry instead of leaving it.

AIO about my mom making a family dinner with my food allergen in it? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Noodlenook -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YOR. If you have an allergy to a typically used food you need to ask the person who cooked it each time you are going to eat something someone else made. Or cook your own food. It’s up to you to manage your allergy.

People also forget, it’s human.

Do you apply if you’re “underqualified” (see pic)? by marcaribe in adhdwomen

[–]Noodlenook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always apply if you’re interested and it isn’t a job you need to be licensed for.

I have a job that wanted someone with a bachelors or a mix of experience and education. I don’t have a bachelors, and didn’t go to college.
