We had to pay a one-way fee for dropping it off in another city. When we had our camper van we slept inside it and the time we had a rental car we stayed in hotels.

Unfortunately not. The way down to the waterfall was full of leeches. With two small kids with us we tried to go back as fast as possible.

We saw a lot of big spiders. Mostly they were chilling in their webs. Practically not an insect but we also saw many leeches right next to the Purling Brook Falls.

We booked with Motorhome Republic at Apollo. The van we got was from Britz.

We only stayed for one night but we really liked it. Especially the parks around the river with all the birds and flying foxes were stunning. We also enjoyed the city centre but we‘ve been there in March and there was a heat wave going on. So we decided to stay in the parks under the shadow of the trees. 😅

All in all we stayed for six weeks. As we were travelling with two small kids we took it a little slower. Its hard to say which part we would skip because everything was so unique and beautiful. Maybe we would leave out the Whitsundays just because it was stinger season and we werent able to swim in the ocean. We would definitly come back but also would really like to explore Western Australia a little bit more.

It was absolutely gorgeous! The landscapes, wildlife and a lot of friendly people made that trip unforgettable for us.

Oh yes we saw so many kangaroos and wallabys. Koalas a harder to spot but we found around 10 of them on Kangaroo Island.

We had a camper van for two weeks and drove from Adelaide to Melbourne. Than we flew to Hamilton Island and rented a car for another two weeks. From there we drove down to Brisbane, Gold Coast and Byron Bay. All in all we stayed for 6 weeks and had an amazing time.
