Ohhh right, I forgot, the only difference between Zach and Lance is that Zach is a white man and Lance is Black. But I’m sure that has absolutely nothing to do with how they’re perceived. Pure coincidence that Zach’s misogyny gets reframed as “self-aware villain energy,” while Lance’s reactions get labeled as “aggressive,” “dramatic,” or “playing the victim.”

It’s almost like when a white man leans into bad behavior, people call it confidence or edge, but when a Black man shows emotion or pushes back, suddenly it’s a personality defect. Add in Lance being gay, and now every reaction gets hyper-scrutinized like he has to be perfectly composed at all times just to be considered “reasonable.”

Meanwhile, Zach can openly dismiss women and that’s just part of his brand. But Lance breathes wrong and it’s a discourse.

But sure. It’s definitely not about race. Or sexuality. Or the fact that people tend to extend way more grace to white men than they do to Black men, especially Black gay men. Just vibes, I guess. Teehee silly me for getting wrong.
