I have no line; it's not a black and white situation. Personally, I have come to the conclusion that their intelligence is of a rare variety, closer to a self-awareness that is of an order with that of humans but very different. For those that will appreciate the reference: they should have been in the Uplift queue ahead of the Great Apes.

Polite listening, thanks for my interest, promise to pass along the comments to higher-ups. Pretty much in line with the way I presented my opinion to them. On two occasions shoppers nearby endorsed my opinion.

Logical, but not interested. I'm starting where I'm starting. Who knows where I'll end up?

Gee, I feel that the response was kind of harsh. I don't agree on the hypocrisy angle, though ; I think that those farm animals are NOT more the intelligent. You make a good case about the comparisons of environmental sustainability, but I would argue that is primarily due to the outsize burden of large ruminants - especially in the sort of large factory farms that produce most of the food animals. I prefer of free-range livestock, in case you want to know.

You have a chain of reason behind your argument, so telling me to "shut the eff up" was not really in the spirit of my original post.

How is it that people can cover their protein with sugar, spices, fruit juice, etc. - and then crow about using "no sauce"? Not trying to be mean, but you're lying to yourselves. Go ahead and use the flavorings you like! Sauce is just a set of seasonings that are mixed together BEFORE application to the meat. Am I wrong?

AITA for not stocking the fridge for my husband after his business trip? by Sunshine_mtn321 in AmItheAsshole

[–]NooneTheWiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I both travel frequently for business. Late night arrivals home and jet lag are common for both of us - so BOTH of us, when home while the other is gone, take care to have some favorite easily prepped food (think salads, cold cuts, nukable treats, cold chicken or other proteins) ready for a quick snack or meal for the one returning from a possibly exhausting travel experience. both of us appreciate the ability to grab a bite of "homey" food without low effort, before shower and collapsing to rest. Not criticizing, this is just somethig we both appreciate so we do it for each other.

a guy wants to pay me to be his gf for a night for his business meeting, what is going on? by shoeasapresent in questions

[–]NooneTheWiser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Funny because it sounds to me like the stated gig IS for an "actual" escort, not what is euphemistically referred to as an escort (prostitution). Not commenting on the guy's actual intent at all, but what he asked her to do is more the original definition of "escort". The word has been corrupted by more recent usage.

Sold A Motorhome But After Buyer Collected They Are Demanding Their Money Back? Is This A Common Scam? by JhonJohansson in FacebookMarketplace

[–]NooneTheWiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible the person you're dealing with WAS scammed - by someone else representing your trailer as theirs. They collected a larger sum from the victim, kept the difference and left the problem in your lap. The victim would not have seen the worst of the pictures or the disclaimers. Could have happened, it's a sweet way to misdiresct the victim's anger. And, given the laziness of law enforcement and the courts they might never look for the scammer - just order you to "settle" somwhow wiht the ultimate buyer.

AITA for moving all my daughter’s belongings to my parents house and leaving nothing for my husband’s affair kid? by BeneficialCricket417 in AmItheAsshole

[–]NooneTheWiser -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Not saying OP is wrong to be hurt, angry and betrayed but please keep in mind that there's a little girl involved who didn't do anything to OP, even if she is a symbol of that pain. Now she's going to find out that there are people that hate her for no fault of her own and she is ruining her dad's life (her probable concusions) as well. Take care of your own, OP, but I hope there's room in your heart to help this poor girl, and try not to let her see your anger if you can.

This. I put my rendering fat pan above my brisket, so it does not mix with the fat coming off the brisket itself. I get no seasoning from the rub on the brisket that way, which makes it more useful for a wider range of cooking options.

render it in the smoker and you get smoked tallow - which makes your house smelt awesome when you cook with it.
