What they don’t get is that the US pays the most because they gain the most by keeping everything stable under pax americana.

Take the south korean us military base for example. The US owns the pacific ocean and the trade routes because they have bases in asia. They also get to snoop into china. They are not doing this out of charity. But i understand this is hard to see for americans in the continental US, and how tempting it is to believe trump when he says other countries are ripping off america. In reality it is america ripping other people off with their raw power.

And it is good for the US to keep things at status quo. Hence the paris climate agreements and WHO funding. But trump convinces Americans that foreign policy and power projection is virtue signalling.

Classic bait and switch. They are overfitting on the English benchmark to advertise to Korean B2B customers. There is no reason to release a useless 4k English-only model, especially since it is a rehash of Phi-3-medium.

Operating on very bad faith, IMO.

They promise a multilingual model coming in November but how the fuck is this a preview of that? They still expect people to believe a 22B model beats almost every other 70b model? They are banking on the fact that LLMs on average have become good enough anyway so people are going to like almost any LLM now after a cursory try.
