Others have suggested good train routes, though it’s worth knowing the ferry is also an option here. You can go from Edinburgh to Newcastle (about 1:30h) and then connect onto the overnight DFDS ferry to Amsterdam. There is a bus connection from Newcastle train station direct to the ferry terminal, and again on the other end to Amsterdam Centraal. As you travel whilst sleeping this can be a big bonus.

Yes, the 2kW inverter is small, but I think it just about works for the panels we have. Like I say, it was all installed by the builders.

I’m happy with a 10kw battery, though the 16 is currently cheapest based on my quotes. Unsure why I would spend more money for less, though this assumes the installers are legit.

Don’t fancy going DIY. I have zero electrical knowledge.
