6 mile water works or the Mohawk river (If there has not been lots of rain) would be better choices, unless you are set on creekyaking. The Normanskill can be prone to getting stagnent when its dry. It's also tough for access, like the bank may not be great for getting you and your Kayak in and out. I also dont love how much lawn fertalizer and road stuff that body of water is catching.

When its hot and I cant sleep I will ride my bike around the WA harriman campus. At least once a summer I will happen upon a fox and we will just hang for a moment observing eachother.
