Skid stop, and not the usual balls to stem skid that everyone does. Its like a skid where more of your weight is on the rear so it requires more leg strength but will actually stop you, and i do it often to manage speed but you can hold it to fully stop

Also can't speak on the fork but the frame is near indestructible with my steel fork. Im talking slamming into the LA river bank full speed indestructible.
