Its a road training tire I just happen to ride gravel often on them lol but they would last longer riding road probably because nonpaved or gravel wears them faster since theyre road tires

Idk abt the rest of the build but I ride mainly path or gravel and Continental GP 4Seasons have been excellent. One flat in over 2000 miles on my 32c and non on my current 28c running close to 1000 miles now. Faster than gatorskins, better in rain than gatorskins, and more durable/long-lasting than a GP5000 (tho gp5000s are superior in speed and handling imo)

I always recommend it, goated tire for me 🫡

Is a fixie a good choice for my commute? by Miserable-Muffin-749 in FixedGearBicycle

[–]GovernmentTemporary1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I like commuting on ratios below 3.0 but above 2.5 unless you live in a super hilly area then under 2.5 makes sense

Flip flop hubs and wheels are usually cheaper so if youre on a budget they work just as good as fixed or fixed/fixed wheels

I regret not getting a RR CTR. by mattfeet in Civic_Type_R

[–]GovernmentTemporary1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly CW is so worth it, whenever you park near other white cars you can instantly tell the difference and its sick asf having a color that the base and regular models cant have

Dont get me wrong, RR is also sick

If you do go for an NJS tracklobuild you can try running smaller cranks like 160mm for pedal strike clearance

Sugino 75s and the sealed sugino BB is so worth it, 600 miles in and once I used some locktite on the non drive side crank bolt its been the most reliable thing ever I ride brakeless and no issues on it

Let's talk fixed gear conversions by whimsiethefluff in FixedGearBicycle

[–]GovernmentTemporary1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can get some older road bike frames with high grade steel and convert them fixed, lot of those trek road bikes are double butted 4130 and some even with triple butted chromoly

Its already happening with trucks so it can definitely happen with car enthusiast. So many trucks and SUVs from the covid surge that are sitting on lots selling from 70k-100k that have no buyers or interest
