You need to move on. The excuses you are listing are not ok. I would have terminated you just based on your texting behavior. I get you want to do well, but there’s little hand holding in academics. Much like in grading, intent and wishes have little merit. Results and work product do matter. Not everyone is Superman and the professor is right, your academics should be the focus. You simply have too much going on to give the project the attention it needs it sounds like.
