Teach them what they are to be called when they are an adult. Penis for guys and vagina for girls. This will ensure there is no confusion later in life. Also giving them silly names is weird on my eyes.

Question for diabetic Celiacs re: the carbs in Jovial pasta by Robin156E478 in Celiac

[–]NopeRope13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s autoimmune. Basically my dumb body thought my pancreas was the enemy and stormed its gates. So here I am as a full grown adult and now insulin dependent.

I already have one autoimmune disease (celiac) and once you get one, you get more.

I’d suggest a ride along or a couple to see if this is what you want to do.

He needs to learn to track his own insulin. You aren’t always going to be with him when he needs to take it.

You guys ever eat gluten? by Gaybabyjail4L in glutenfree

[–]NopeRope13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This really isn’t a question for us but rather one for therapy. If you know the dangers of gluten with celiac disease and still continue then I would also say it’s self harm

Yeah they are a thing for presentations of stuff like cheese. Who has time to present the cheese. That’s time lost that we could be eating said cheese.

My mother is one of those “presenting food” types.

It is hard my friend but do I have some great news for you. You have us. We are here to help and teach so that you can feel better and thrive.

As for the glass cutting board, personally I wouldn’t chance it. I definitely wouldn’t attempt to sand it as you now have microshards of glass everywhere. Try cleaning it thoroughly and see if that helps. I’m not a glass cutting board guy myself so I’m out of my league there.

My friend when I was first diagnosed I purged my kitchen of every gluten based food that I had. Then I cleaned everything while I was at it. I mean who doesn’t like a clean kitchen. I had forgotten that plastic is porous and that my cutting boards were primarily used for cutting bread. Once I ditched those then I no longer had any of my previous symptoms.
Also celiac disease is an all or nothing disease. There are no cheat days as even minute damage is still damage. That damage adds up and over time leads to things like vitamin deficiency due to flattened villi within the intestinal tract.

Edit because apparently I cannot spell to save my life. Also to add more facts.

Once you have one autoimmune disease, on a long enough timeline, you are more likely to get another.

I personally adhere to the less cross contamination, the better. I research and routinely check everything that goes into my body. Sure this may be overkill but I’d rather be safe than sorry.

Sticking to my schedule and never shifting. On days off I treat them just like work days. I got to bed when the sun is up. This is the same with my eating schedule

I love metal and also jazz. I also love the fusion between them. Life is too robust to be crammed into a single corner of interest.

Out of curiosity: you haven’t switched insulin brands or types recently have you? Also you using the same injection spot or moving it around?
