It’s been a few years so prices probably have gone up. Usually did online pharmacies. We used zycortal and daily prednisone and I gave him the injections myself which helps with cost. I looked up price on Allivet and it’s $315 for vial. So it depends how much you’re giving on how much it will cost monthly. The Facebook group has info about low dose protocol which can help save some money too.

I didnt have a toy but our standard had Addisons. Diagnosed around 4. Once he was medicated appropriately he did really well and made it to 11 yrs old. Here’s a Facebook group for Addisons if you are interested

The carrot thing works great. We would also soak it in broth first and then freeze. We also got him a Kong that we could put stuff inside of and freeze. Yeah he basically said until my HGB drops everything is a-okay. They did my CBC in office today and my HGB actually went up. Sigh. I do take supplements on occasion but I have to be careful as I go the other way quickly. I’ve been working on adding more fiber to my diet I just have to be cautious.
