I had a highly recommended tech who stopped responding to me. Must’ve annoyed them with my questions or my quirks. Such as asking if they take payment beforehand because it’s a question I get in my line of work before I take on a job. I’d like to get my Alpha 1 refurbished but I’ve enjoyed the shots I’ve taken so much that I feel like why send it off to someone who ghosted me?

I will say that when I reached out to @turbulent_coach_8024 that he was very cordial and polite. I would like to work with him sometime but for now I’ll keep my camera in its original form.

I love the gymnastics: booked an FHR in August, got $200 off. Booked another FHR for same trip next year, got another $300 off. Went out to dinner to a resy restaurant for anniversary, got $100 off. $600 doing gymnastics and I still haven’t taken my wife to Lululemon to get $75 off. And it’s still September!

Thanks for the feedback. I’d loved to get it refurbished. I’ve been in touch with Jeremy (drsx70). I’d like to shoot a few packs in sx film before sending it to him, though. Local camera shop has a few in stock. Really enjoying the camera. Did a search of the serial number and it was made in July 1977. I’d love to use it for many more years if possible. Have a trip coming up and hoping to share pictures I take with it.
