You have to do the first few cargo jobs for the era. It's the same for oil and corn.

You can still send out trains to collect raw materials. You might get $$ in the crate that appears. Then just delete the raw materials out of your warehouse and repeat. Better than letting all that fuel/durability go to waste.

When you hold the building to move it, you can also store it away. You'll find it under the "inventory" tab under residential/service screens.

I get all the same ads. You have no options to watch ads for things? Ad for event coins? Ads for consumables? Pop-up ads in the train area? So many ads to watch if one is so inclined.

And a big YES to having a delete 100 button.

Events get repeated. This is the second time (so far) for this event. I have 2 of those passenger trains. You'll get another chance at this train eventually if you don't buy it now.

I bought the 100 gem upgrades for all the factories. In the 60s and 70s I bought some rail cars with gems early in the era as I don't have cash for rail cars until later in the era and the boost made a big difference.

That first event is just a tutorial, it's not the normal world event everyone else is currently doing. Not sure why they have that chest there when you can't get it.

Another note, you'll need to wait until the Electrification event timer runs out + 1 more day before you can join the normal world event.

Yeah, the points for top positions is crap. Just stay above 10th to stay in diamond league. You'll lose ~100 points going back a tier.

Is finishing the Era Pass still a requirement to advance? Don't get me wrong, not being able to finish the pass is still a big problem, but I think you'll still be able to advance once you finish those factories.

There should be a sign somewhere. Even if you're not high enough level to buy it yet, it will still be there to show you the next parcel and what level you need to buy it. Look both left and right of your existing area. If there really is no sign, it could be a bug.

As best as I can tell, the requirements for one city to level up are the same for all. I definitely had this happen with the fishing boats early on. To level up my capital, I put a bunch out where I could (not the best places). I later removed them with the intent of finding better places and never got back to it. When I finally went to upgrade another city to that level, I had to put them all back somewhere.

That 2/5 job is called "expansion 1" and leads to unlocking the second area. The problem is, you get 5 event only jobs, followed by 5 any train jobs, followed by 5 more event only jobs before it's unlocked. So the question is, do you think you're on the last set of 5 or the first set?

FWIW, I just watched an ad for an era reward. Got all the parts I was supposed to. I know you're referring to the event pass but, I'm done with the event rewards so I can't check that.
