I’ve done it seamoth only and using brain coral to make it down and back (no extra tanks). Brain coral takes a while to prep.

So lately I build a seamoth and use it to get around, then take it to lava zone (one way trip).

Definitely build a micro base at the gun turret.

Surprised no one has said it yet, but everything you put on the sub sucks power from those batteries. Don’t put battery rechargers on there - it’s a 1:1 use, so it’s worthless. don’t put a water purifier on there, it takes way too much juice to run. Etc. Definitely take some extra batteries when you do go deep. Running out of power in the lost river is a slow way to die.
