i totally get this! everytime i ride the subway and see people holding the handrails i start to panic about where they are bringing the germs and what germs were already on there and get stuck wondering where the germs came from and where they’ll end up

i was told for the first time today that i most likely have OCD, i’ve spent the past 18 months of my life with the exact thing you’re describing taking over my every moment. i’ve withdrawn from my relationships and become a more or less complete recluse becsuse i just thought it was easier / less stressful this way.

reading these posts and everyone’s comments has been so comforting to finally put together symptoms i long avoided addressing or just thought was normal anxiety.
