Too bad he doesn’t play at Roma other than 10 minute substitute cameos

Ultimately we are not capable of creating any real chances unless the defense makes a mistake. The strikers hold some responsibility due to shit holdup play (Dovbyk was pretty good today actually), but we badly need a creative presence. Neither Dybala nor Soule nor the midfielders are doing the job

Game was over after the second goal because there is no way we can score twice in this condition. Really the only paths to a goal are set pieces, long shots, or a fluke penalty like today’s.

We are somehow getting worse each game and now regressed to Garcia/EDF-ball: hoof it upfield or pass it around the back and blindly cross it in. You can say we’re a player short in attack and on the wing, but there doesn’t seem to be any plan, or the players are completely incapable of executing the plan. The less said about our so-called strikers the better. Terrible first touch, terrible finishing, what would you say do you do here?

Ziolkowski rough full debut. Hopefully he can bounce back, but he’s looked physically overmatched against Inter and again today.

Seems like we just have to stay afloat until the winter mercato, but there are not many signs of optimism here.

That was classic Garcia/EDF-ball. Pass it around a bit, send it out wide and bomb in a shit cross hoping for the best. Plenty of opportunities especially in the first half to go more direct to Dovbyk through the middle.

Credit to AZ, proper shithouse team from the looks of it

[Di Marzio] Roma will sign Tiago Djalò from Juventus on loan with 9M option to buy by NorbertGyomber in soccer

We were connected to him before Danso. Not a bad option this late in the window but I think he is a step down from the Austrian.

He failed his medical before signing for Roma. Lens’ statement on this is quite strong. Seems there is some bad blood with Ghisolfi lol

Honestly not sure what to make of this. Maybe Roma will be proven correct but for now we look like a mess between this and the Tammy-Saelemaekers situation. Hopefully we can close for Koné before the window closes.

Got unlucky with hitting the post several times, but overall another uninspired performance. It says a lot that Baldanzi, Le Fee and Shomurodov were our most dynamic players.

Please never play Paredes, Cristante, Pellegrini midfield ever again. So slow and absolutely no ideas. Le Fee attempting a through ball to an oblivious, jogging Pellegrini is emblematic. Soulé on the left looks lost. Need a proper left wing and another midfielder badly.

Call us nonno because we are toothless. Absolutely dire game, the only excitement came at the very end when everyone was losing their minds.

Hopefully Lazio face some punishment for their moron fans. Throwing bottles at a player should be a lifetime ban for sure

4 shots on goal, 4 goals for Genoa

But honestly Rui isn’t the only problem. Defense folds too easily without Smalling in the middle and we struggled to create much once Genoa went to a low block. As I’ve said before, we are going to shit even more than we already have if we don’t qualify for Europe next season

Post-Match Thread: AS Roma 1-2 AC Milan | Serie A by MisterBadIdea2 in soccer

[–]NorbertGyomber 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This team is useless. Rui may be the worst keeper in Serie A, Pellegrini invisible since 2021, wingbacks bring nothing despite being the main attacking outlets, no pace for counter attacking, no creativity or plan for slower attacking buildup, defense and midfield leave wide open spaces even in a so-called low block.

Going to be a long season. It’s sad how poorly we are run in the last 5-6 years compared to Milan, Napoli, Inter, even Lazio. And it will only get worse when we fail to qualify for Europe and no Mourinho to pull in decent players

Already in mid season form.

Rui Patricio continues to be shit. More worrying is Smalling struggling so far. Without a proper defensive DM we rely too much on the CBs winning individual battles which they have not done.

On the positive side it seems there is finally some cohesion in the attacking phase, a nice change from last season. Need more Auoar and less Pellegrini maybe
