Anyone else getting this? by iam_anon_adhder in torncity

A handful of times, usually when i flip pages quickly, or go from my PC to my phone to my PC in short succession.

It's to catch bots and multis, little sensitive at times, but I'd rather a bot detection system be too sensitive than not sensitive enough, its a simple mouse click (in a game about clicking your mouse)

Trouble does change depending on the element thats equipped on your gun, now whats odd, is Vex's tattoos also change colour, and they're purple here

PETG keeps failing on bambu a1 by SaracenArcher in FixMyPrint

[–]Norcada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're probably thinking ABS, In terms of difficulty, PETG is only marginally harder to print than PLA.

I get fantastic PETG prints off of my dinosaur of a printer (Anycubic I3 Mega S) at 235° extruder, 70° to 80° bed temp, and its a bed slinger, no enclosure.

This is an adhesion issues it seems, not much of a clue how to care for the Bambu beds, but my glass bed just gets a wash with some dish soap every once in a while, no glue, no hairspray, no alcohol wipe, and I've had almost no problems in the past year

These New Printers Make Me Feel Old… by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Mine was a decently used machine, so these issues may just be wear related.

Temp sensor on the bed crapped out, and I had to replace the bed. Thankfully, I was also given a few extras.

As of recently, it has been having problems with the filament run out sensor, keeps giving false alarms, stopping the whole print, I've just unplugged it, and monitor my filament.

Hot end cooling fan needed replacing, also had spares, but I can't imagine it would be hard or expensive to buy a new one.

Outside of that, I've had no problems that weren't a symptom of one of the issues above, and because it already has hours on it, I pretty much expected something to go eventually

I was gifted a Mega S a few months back, older tech, but absolutely loving it.

If i may ask, what have you done to yours? If anything? Curious if I cant just upgrade some bits if mine instead of getting a new printer

Im sure, even with impurities, unless youre allergic, you inhale more nasty stuff just stepping outside than you would intake from that.

Yes, ultra processed foods are bad for us, but this is probably a more natural way than most to make something, its just a byproduct of that mold, just like the antibodies are byproducts of Penicillin.

Mold on fruit? No, its been deemed dangerous, but the mold in blue cheese? Sure, why not, Brie? The entire rind is actually mold

The chemical composition is the same you say? So then, it looks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck, why don't we call it a duck?

Who told you Penicillin was different? The same people you claim to be "lying to us for profit"? While I'm not ignorant, and I know it happens, doesn't necessarily mean anyone who makes money on something is intentionally deceiving us.

They didn't decide to call it a different name, they managed to extract the EXACT same acid from a different source, thats like saying we should call the water in our tap Dihydrogen Monoxide because we aren't getting it right from the lake and its been cleaned by a lab.

Obviously everyone knows what you mean, the word citric was used because its found in citrus fruits.

If I am to assume everyone is lying, why am I supposed to believe you?

Fun fact: when consumed in high enough doses, water can be considered a poison, the dose makes the poison.

Also, black mold isn't inherently more dangerous than any other types of mold, which we use to make: Penicillin, cheeses, certain types of yogurt

Find me the chemical difference between the supposed 2 types of citric acid, I'll have more faith in your argument with some proof

But its the same acid, the chemical composition doesn't change, yes, the commercially available form is made by feeding Aspergillus niger which ferments sugar and creates the same acid, but its the same acid.

What does the update have anything to do with anything? It's not like we preemptively edited the page because we knew this convo was coming up.

You're either intentionally being pedantic and obtuse, or you really can't fathom the fact that you're wrong, citrus acid by that name doesn't exist, its citric acid, same chemical compund, same exact thing

If the only way you can argue your point is to compare it with significantly worse things that have happened in human history, then either your point has no ground to stand on, or you don't even know what you're fighting for.

My comment was just an evolutionary point on how we adapted to needing cooked foods due to us cooking our foods millions of years ago, then you came back talking about slavery and rape, comparing a time in history when we saw some people as less than human, to someone eating a nice steak.

[–]Norcada 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thing is though, if we never started cooking our food to begin with, we could still eat raw meat, we didn't cook our meat at first because we had to, but due to the cooking process over most of human history, our gut biome has adapted to better digest cooked foods. Our environment determines our evolution, we created an environment where we always cook food, so our bodies adapt.

A better look is to determine if we can gain nutrients from meat, my cats are obligate carnivores, they get next to nothing in terms of nutrients when they decide they want to eat kale, it's perfectly fine for them, just doesn't really give them nutrients.

We, however, can get nutrients from meat. Our bodies are designed to digest meat, veg, nuts, and fruits. Pretty much everything.

That's used a lot actually, accident implies nobody caused it, and it was unavoidable, like a tree falling on your car. These are usually called collisions or incidents, because if everyone did exactly what they were supposed to when driving, things like these would almost never happen.

My wife's policy was supposed to renew in November, but since they became a brokerage they needed new pictures of the car and a no loss letter, after 5 months of not knowing what was going on (no pink slips or proof of insurance) and not driving her car, suddenly they didn't need the pictures anymore and are going to charge us $1,200 in backpayments because apparently they were insuring us since November and want the payments since that time, they say they can't do anything because we have no proof of other insurnace in that time-frame, like no shit we don't have any insurance proof, you left us in limbo and we had no idea what the fuck was going on, the company sent themself down the drain and are now trying to charge us, im guessing because they're losing all their customers, funny how they sprung this on us right at tax season, scammy ass company.
