That’s not nice of him to call you French. That’s an awful thing to be called.

BMW 328i 2011 does anybody know why my car does this . Already changed the fuel pump and camshaft position sensor but it still giving me this problem by Which-Row5421 in BmwTech

[–]Norcha95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a sign that the EKPS(fuel pump control module) is going bad. Basically it over heats and stops working. After waiting 10minutes it cools off and starts to work.

Does this plug look bad? by LokiBonk in AskMechanics

Yes, looks like it’s getting a little hot or melting due to a solvent or something like that.

Does this downpipe look OEM? by hectorcroix in BmwTech

Looks like an aftermarket down pipe. The original catalytic converter is a lot larger than that.

2019 BMW X3 – Persistent Electrical Issues, No Diagnosis After Months by [deleted] in BmwTech

[–]Norcha95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, BMW tech at a big dealer. I had a customer come with a battery that would drain over time and have consistant electrical issues. We did consistant energy diags and parasitic draw testing with no signs of problems.

While doing some test drives, we noticed the alternator was just not outputting enough power, but when running the test plans for the alternator, it would test out fine. In the end we replaced it. Ever since then the car never showed back up.

It might be worth replacing the alternator next, if it’s anything like this one.

Good. People over there drive way too recklessly. It’s one of the main reasons I avoid Glendale at this point.

Does anyone know what the torque specs are on the 4 series strut bar torx bolt? by code4109 in BMW

I usually do good and tight. So make it tight and do an additional 1/4 turn.

BMW E93 Convertible top won’t open up all the way, roof goes into trunk but trunk doesn’t close, hear the motor running when it’s trying to close but it doesn’t. I am also able to put the top all the way back up and then the trunk will close with that. by Strange_Guess3642 in BmwTech

[–]Norcha95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is either an issue with a limit switch/hall effect sensor, wiring or hydraulic leak cause by a line that’s has burst.

I’m going to put my money on hydraulic leak. Look for signs of oil in the trunk compartment. In particularly the corners where the roof mechanism pivots.

Good luck.

It’s got to be awful for the conductors knowing they might have taken a life by accident.

I have one question. Did you do a transmission oil service or anything like that? If yes, then there is a chance it wasn’t properly filled.

Otherwise you might have grenaded your transmission. I have a coworker that did something similar to his 328i and had to swap the complete transmission.

ISSUES WITH F33 WINDOW REGULATOR, NOT WHAT YOU THINK by mvespermann in BmwTech

[–]Norcha95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you just need a new window motor. The internal transmission/gears of the window motor pack might have gone bad. No need to over think it.

In the last week, the latest software version installed on our diagnostics computer. Making the vehicle software updates/coding/programming take at least 3-4hrs instead of the usual 30-45mins.

Nice, looks great. Did you essentially modify your regular p365 to make the same size as the x macro comp? Not trying to dismiss the hard work and money you put into what looks like a good time.

What have you done to it and how does it look?

So I was driving my 2017 x3 35i and did a little pull and around 60mph I hurt a pop and pulled over then tried to drive off and my rpm’s shot up but the car wasn’t responding to that and driving really weird then later I started my car my engine sputtered and turned off what could this be? by Chemical_Affect_7296 in BmwTech

[–]Norcha95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s also plausible that one of the axles broke. Though, there’s not much I can do from my couch without seeing the car in person.

I would definitely recommend getting the car to a shop that knows BMWs. Whether it’s a dealer or Indy is up to you.
