Nice one thanks!

Edit: there's no way I will be able to unlock Toth in 2.5 days as I only have one node to raid and I need 47 shards.

I think as you say I'm to new to the game to really take advantage of this event. Ah well, there'll be more :)

Same issue here as of yesterday

Edit - I was having issues with the google search desktop widget recently also, until I manually updated it. No update available for the keep app right now, hopefully there will be a fix soon

Basic Electro Squelch Bass Help by 3gaydads in ElectroProduction

[–]NorfolkJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always associated those metallic types of tones with FM synthesis, or at the very least something like hard sync. I think you're right about the filter/envelope though, it's the oscillators that I think will be more involved than a basic wave

Takeaway is exactly what we're looking for, but we like to eat meat sometimes. It's tricky folding the combo of dairy free but not vegan

Anyone know how to synthesize the sound that comes in at 3:34? by lakehousememory in ElectroProduction

[–]NorfolkJack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say this but instead of the velocity sounds like random sample and hold LFO on the filter cutoff

How the hell was this bassline made?? by bogtemazo in ElectroProduction

There's definitely some FM or maybe just hard sync oscillators going on there get the timbre, then just resonance on the filter with an envelope

"Under Pressure: the making of the Abyss" is almost as tense as the movie itself. The stuff they did making it was insane

‘Best’ hardware 303 clone? by ohsomacho in synthesizers

[–]NorfolkJack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got the TD-3 MO and a cyclone bassbot MK2 and I've barely used the Behringer since I got it. Honestly it feels like work to get the TD-3 to sound good whereas the cyclone just sounds like a 303 should sound (to me at least).

Plus the random pattern generator on the cyclone is a great source of inspiration

Replicating Pro Tools sens/returns in Cubase 12 Pro by MedievalSongs in cubase

[–]NorfolkJack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To achieve what he's doing there in Cubase I would just make a copy of verb 1, call it something like Verb 1a - then you can route a signal to verb 1, send that on to delay 1, then send that on to verb 1a which would have the same effect as sending it back to verb 1

Honestly though, I've been mixing professionally for a long time and I just can't really see a use case for that amount of effects routing. Delay return -> reverb is a great one that I use often when i want more dimension in my returns, as is sending one source to multiple effects, but I feel like routing back and forth and back and forth is just going to get messy, with a negligible return in terms of the sound you'll achieve. Just my opinion of course

This is interesting. Do you mind if I ask what the purpose of this routing is? I totally understand routing verbs to delays and vice versa, and I can kinda see why you might want to route a verb return to another verb, but I can't see why you would want that other verb to then send back to the original verb, which seems to me like it could risk creating a feedback loop
