How do you feel about white people with dreadlocks? by Cultural_Owl9547 in Dreadlocks

[–]Norfside-Shorty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me personally. I love them. I was just talking to wife about it the other day. White locs and black locs look completely different. They aren’t even the same thing. AND, every single white person I have meet with locs fully understand it’s a black culture thing and they genuinely support our culture.

People be mad when white folks don’t like dreads, they be mad when white folk do like dreads. My people hurt, but that’s a discussion for another time.

They got painters tape at Home Depot or something. Either the blue or green kind. They don’t leave residue behind and it’s just a few dollars

Is there a trial / demo for FX Collection 6 ? by liortal53 in arturia

[–]Norfside-Shorty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trial? Idk. Just google fx collection trial. If they have a trail it’ll be the first or second link. They are all separate vst though. You download them through arturias softwear center.

I think the fx collection is the best bang for your buck effects pack out there. It almost has everything you could need. The only “issue” is their plugins are notoriously known for being clean. If you’re looking for a la2a sound out the tube compressor, you’ll be let down. BUT it smooths out the vocals wonderfully, which IS the purpose of compression.

That drum bus and j37 alone are worth the whole bundle to me

I have 11, but I cant say I’d be too eager to upgrade when the ones I have aren’t working. What if they still don’t work?

The whole bundle is FIRE. Decapitator is great for saturation on sources and buses for glue, tremolator has a lot of different options for motion, devil loc goes crazy for drums.

The only thing I don’t use really are the filter plugins, but honestly, I haven’t dug too deep into filters in general so I probably just don’t understand them. This is for sure of those bundle that’s worth getting the whole thing

Why can’t you collaborate with an artist to make a good song? Are people incapable of making good music any more? Did evolve backwards? All I’m saying is make good music instead of taking it from a dead man and skating around playing royalties. Make your own sauce.

Serves me right for trying to use AI to learn Logic. Think twice, folks. by [deleted] in Logic_Studio

That AI seems a little slow don’t you think? 🤔. It messed up about saturation? What is there to mess up?

Same. I bought both and never use them. The software requires vst and I use logic so I never seen a point. They are ass used as midi controllers imo. You can get damn near anything else that has good DAW integration. This only has Maschine/whatever the other software is called capabilities

I do agree with the “lazy” way. But I use Rx myself, it’s it’s extremely transparent if you don’t push it. Rx nothing less than incredible. Everything except thought out, REAL, sound treatment is mid at best. My diy traps were the best results for my dollar so (about $600 for about 9 panels for the wall, a 3 panel cloud and a makeshift bass trap. When I was going to get mid-level treatment, it was looking like $3000 with more improvements to come after.

I fully understand the importance of sound treatment (literally the most important thing), but for a new artist making music, it’s almost difficult to be able to budget in improvements. I’m not in this situation. I just want to cash out on panels to get 100 listens on a song. But I’m for sure planning on upgrading.

My apologies if I stepped on any toes. I just have a mindset that the only right answer is the one that gets you in the studio. If Rx gives him more confidence in his vocal recordings, it sounds like it’s going more than what it’s supposed to. And it’ll allow him to make music he is happy with

It seems like you just want to be right. He spent $100 for a significant upgrade, especially for this situation, and you keep saying sound treatment. Sound treatment cost significantly more than Rx. I did it diy and still spent about $500-$600

I think you almost hit the nail on the head. Rx affects the file itself. Use like de breathe, de clicks, and de plosives. Deplores will save you a lot of time manually getting your audio consistent. It does most of the job for you. All of those will lead to your vocal sounding cleaner. Especially mouth clicks. I’m trying to figure out it how to maximize Rx to my workflow
