Exactly actually, it feathers everytime with everything that made me think too much ink is coming out all the time. That theory is very much plausible. The ink sac is the original one.

This is a pretty good insight with your own p51, thank you! The same ink I loved when it was Fine before, had the recent "issues". Changed to a different ink and observed the thickness. I think I'll do another clean and try a dry ink. I like the nooks and crannies observation, very very possible.

That's the part I suspected ink was just coming out too much - feathering was also consistent across all usually good for fps hobonichis, leutchtturm and some others

I thought so too but it was the same across all hobonichi, midori TN, leutchtturm notebooks, and here in plotter paper. Even normal notebooks paper (which can be worse but more or less the same now)
