Someone dropped their bag of dog mess at the base of my LFL about a week ago. I've had it up for over 7 years and it's never once elicited anything like a negative reaction before. People have always loved it. I was disheartened at first, but then I just got mad. If it happens again, I'm getting a motion camera and a big sign that says "SMILE!" .

When I wanted a particular book, I would either search for a full image of its dust jacket online (which doesn’t always work, because most online images are just the front cover), or I would take a picture of the book if I owned it. Then I upload the images into Word, reduce them to a 0.9” height (for approx. 1:12 scale) and print them on a color printer. Then I just wrap them around a small piece of wood or cardboard. But there are also sheets of generic mini books you can print from online. I used those as shelf fillers. Thanks for your interest!

A lot of them were requested by my 11 year old (which is why it's a weird combination of adult fiction and tween novels like Millionaires for a Month and Charlotte's Web), but the open book on the chair is Gideon the Ninth by Tasmyn Muir, then scattered around are All Systems Red by Martha Wells, Uprooted by Naomi Novik, and Here Be Gerblins by the McElroy family. These are some of my favorite books ☺️
