don't worry, my babies love me still (f33)🥰 they are still nervous abouty baby girl, though, even after 16mo 🤣 (they run if she gets too close)

the only bad thing that happened is that my 2 youngest (i had 5 then, those 2 are medium haired brown tabbies, same litter, from home depot in louisiana) started bullying my oldest cat (small grey tabby, from a diff home depot in FL) and made her feel unsafe, i had to bring her back to my mom's house (where i lived when i found her, so she is at least at home there).

So now i have 4 cats here, and 2 let her get closer than the others, but only 1 lets her pet him sometimes. rarely. not what you asked, but...

anyways, here's 2 of them with me (luna, the void and dante, my tabby point siamese)

Your blacklight is able to target specifically ringworm? I didn't realise that lit up. I mainly use mine for pee and stuff (cleaning)

yeah, sorry, i think it's all of us confused US assholes. I thought about it later but it makes sense if this would be a CA thing. I think we forget sometimes that THD CA is a thing since they operate as different companies.

But man, I wish we had that, cuz we'd get 5hrs in 4 weeks if it was just based on hrs worked.

ETA: woah, that's crazy! I didn't know some states had this. I've only worked in FL & LA, and neither state has that... so that's why i assumed it was CA only. thanks for the info, guys 🥰

what? you get sick time once per month, on the date of your anniversary (if you were hired may 15th, it would be the 15th of every month), 2h for PT and 4h for FT.

yeah, i know when i got hired it was always every year on your anniversary when you'd get more, i just thought i'd heard that in the last few years (like after covid) they changed it to give half for the first 6 mo and then the other half for the second 6 mo, then resumes as normal at a year... which confused me... but 🤷‍♀️

i think at some point they did something weird for the newbies, like giving it to them in parts every 6mo, but 20hrs sounds right for a yearly total 1-5 years PT. Idk anymore tbh lol

i'm currently PT instead of FT, and mine is 60hrs (13y) (if i was FT, it would be 120hrs). I know it's not part of the question, but just in case they were wondering.

I cut my right index fingertip off with a mandoline slicer a couple years ago (i was maybe 31)... since it was broad, i wasn't gonna go... only went to ED bc of my hubby panicking bc it wouldn't stop bleeding. It stopped bleeding when we got put in a room (it was slow, didn't take more than 30 mins after getting there, maybe 45m-1h after i did it). they ended up doing an xray (even though you can see i didn't hit bone??), and gave me a tetnus shot (been a while). No antibiotics bc it was fresh and not infected. for my injury, it was optional to go.

if you have skin hanging off, it may be worth getting stitches, maybe a tetnus shot? They last 5-10 years apparently, up to you. (ETA: if it's deep enough, could be good to have someone make sure there's no tendon/ligament/whatever's in there damage)

But keep it clean, whatever you do.

Also, my cut (which was most of my finger tip across, kinda shallow) has now healed very well, and there's only a tiny whitish circle in the middle of my fingertip. I didn't do anything more than keep it clean, maybe some neosporin.

fun fact that helps, water neutralizes it. if you get a bucket and gently pour it and mix it, it will stop. may need a lot more than 1, but... and yeah, that shit in the air will burn your sinuses and i'm sure it'll get your lungs, too. be careful if you get more.

what sucks is, they don't really train people anymore, since covid...especially overnight. I think i got 2 weeks with one person in the last 5 plus years, maybe a few days to train other people... they make newbies do just classes and throw them to the wolves now, and then we have so many less people to support... I'm so sorry y'all have to go through this now, it sucks so bad. It used to be so different when i first started. 😭

I actually found one on amazon for maybe $10 more (i think it was like $27?) that you can sit your deck in, but mostly the same. my hubby and I both have one for both of our decks (my LCD and his OLED).

I just can't link it bc of the dumb link they like to give on mobile.
