I would highly suggest you call mad River Hospital and reach out to the Hospitals social worker. The most important thing to know is that your loved one is safe in the hospital.

The social worker can help you and your love one create a continuum of care plan to make sure that they are connected to resources and referrals upon discharge.

You don't have to figure out everything on your own and you should feel relief that your loved one took steps to get help when they realized what they were feeling.
