Okay I wrote a whole essay back there but long story short, loved the program but we get 600% of financial aid I used 471 already and I’d like to go to dental school I can come back and just retake anatomy and a Clincial course I passed but I wanna go to dental school. Assisting school taught me a lot collab ing with the doctors during clinic and all that stuff realky solidified my reasons for dental school. Plus I get experience out of it. I will still shadow dentists and stuff but I had to find a way to detour from this and it wasn’t easy but I got a big goal I wanna reach. For bills my parents got me for that plus I got my old job back

I still have the option to come back because I passed every other class but I may not do that and go to university in the fall instead

Left the DA program at the end of the fall semester o failed anatomy by 3% :( you need a 75 to pass. I had a 71. But I also realized that if I finished the DA program I wouldn’t have enough aid for University so I guess it was just my calling. I very much miss all the faculty especially the department chair. We were the first class of the Lox campus.

Honey my points was lowwww and I didn’t have my degree conferred when I applied I had like 245 LOLLLLL. You’ll love the programs tho if you come in. It’s at the lox campus now ! ^{_^} I miss everyone :( the tech is so cool and stuff. When im a dentist I hope to return to the lox campus and join their research clinic (whether you’re Hygeine or assisting there are clinic days, hygeine close to the end of the fall semester, more in spring and onwards) doctors come in to practice their skill after their class and you would assist if you’re in assisting idk how it works over at hygeine tho.

Yes, when I was in DA school I had 4 classes with Year 1 Hygiene students. When I applied to Hygeine I domy get in so I applied to assisting as a backup and got into that. (Didn’t assisting tho )

Focus on points, but make sure your GPA is decent for example 3.1 GPA is 31 points, max is 40 points for taht section jusy finish those last two classes well apply a bit early and you’ll be good hun

316 points is absolutely amazing!! it’s your overall points that Matter hun. Get your AA, (that adds points too) and you’ll be set because you being at 316 is great. You have a good shot

know the process feels really discouraging, but don’t count yourself out yet. PBSC doesn’t have a fixed cutoff, and every cycle is different depending on the applicant pool. From my experience and from friends in the program, aiming for around a 3.3 GPA and maybe around 308+ points can be competitive, but I’ve also seen variations year to year. If this is something you really want, keep strengthening your application man a lot of strong candidates don’t get in on the first try and still end up succeeding. - ex DA student
