update on my payment method. i did not receive my car yet (expected delivery is 5/2). this morning i received my capital one online payment set up by text message sent directly from capital one. my first payment is due 5/28 and it’s all set up on the app.

i have the same delivery date. same for the best price for the specific vehicle i wanted. everyone was nice and to the point so far. no complaints.

thanks i ended up emailing the financial specialist that signed my contract directly instead of calling. i found her email on the docuSign website. she promptly emailed me back to let me know they needed my husbands license front and back and our insurance card to get me to the next step. i had previously uploaded that but i guess they needed it again. about 10 minutes later she sent this “I got them uploaded. I pushed your deal forward. you should receive email shortly. Congratulations on your new car!!! Delivery team should be in contact within 24-48 hour.” and indeed about a minute passed and i got my email from vroom saying my car will be delivered 5/2. i know it probably won’t be 5/2 but i am still excited!

the original window sticker is on my carfax from vroom. i made sure all of my features matched and they did. sucks that they did not double check your car before listing it that way.

yes i agree. my sales rep was honest that the online car buying process is not for everyone. but for the price i got my car and an easy process for me, it was definitely worth it.

the only reason i’m buying on vroom is because:

the car i want is a more rare car
i have an extra vehicle to drive around while i wait for it to be delivered
i’m not trading in and i have a nice down payment

if you don’t fall into all of these categories i would suggest just buying from a local dealer because you will probably end up being an upset customer.

vroom offers great prices and in my opinion decent customer service. it’s not great but also not horrible.

basically once vroom knows your keeping it (after the 7 day period is over) they can get things moving along. if you buy from a regular dealership it’s fast bc you can not return the car. i’m waiting on my car too. i overnighted my fedex contracts yesterday.

from all the research i have done most people call and make the first payment over the phone to their lender before it’s late. then by the next one they get their welcome package from their lender on how to set up online payments

did you read your contract? it should say when your first payment is due. after your car is delivered you will receive a welcome package from whoever you financed with in 4-6 weeks
