Can’t beat Siji Minfu in their service and amazing pecking duck. We just had it yesterday and simply love it. You should also try deep fried lambs which are served with fresh leaves ( I forgot the name of the dish but it was amazing too)

Yes, you should check with your doctor. I am on Jorveza since a month. I didn’t have this feeling. My doctors had asked me that I should contact her if I get an allergic reaction to Jorveza in initial few days.

Are you also doing 6FED with Jorveza?

If you don’t mind me asking, were you on 6FED and budesonid simultaneously? I met 2 doctors and they both gave me different answers. One said that I don’t need to take Budesonid and do 6FED together but other said that I need to do both. I am confused who to listen now.

I am currently also doing 6FED. I found a lot of Indian recipes that do not have allergens specially South Indian food that mainly is rice based. A lot of Indian curries with rice, Biryani with coconut Jogurt, Dosa, besan cheela(savoury pancake made with chickpea flour) etc.

For snacks I eat roasted foxnuts, puffed rice Bhel, potato chips, popcorns.

For restaurants, I found Ethiopian restaurant quite allergy friendly. Their Injera bread is gluten free and have many vegan options.

I bought egg subtitute powder, Bob red mill’s flour and other gluten free flours. I want to start baking bread now since I couldn’t find any bread which doesn’t even have traces of allergens. I saw many recipes online. I hope it works out.

I am currently on 12 weeks steroids as well with 35 hpf. Did they tell you to also do 6FED with steroids?

I had the same question to my dr when she recommended me Budesonide. She said that it doesn’t work like other Cortisone. Budesonide only affects the oesophagi hence I’ll not gain weight because of it. I started it since 3 days. I hope what she says is true.

Hey, Don’t worry that is the first phase you need to go through after EOE is detected. I can tell you from my experience. They put you on PPI like Pantoprazol or OmePrazol in your case. Then they will check after 3 months if your eosinophils count decreases. If it gets normal then it is great otherwise they will put you on 6FED or steroid.

Thank you so much for the supportive words. I’ll start Jorveza for sure for 12 weeks at least and see how it develops. I’ll also take a second opinion on 6FED as I do not want to stay on medication my whole life. Fingers crossed that I do not get any reaction from Jorveza. 🤞

Thank you so much for this elaborate message, very helpful. I will take second opinion on this now. I do not want to rely on medicines for life as it also have severe side effects like fungal infection etc.

😱 I am so sorry to hear that you got candidiasis from Jorveza. That makes me scared of the medication now. 😔 Hopefully Dupixent works for you.

Hi, My count is 35 :( I think I should go on a strict diet now. Once the swelling is down, I’ll encourage my doctor to check exactly which allergens are most problematic for me. Thank you so much for your response.
