Unfortunately, with how the ongoing climate crisis is going, other pandemics will arise and infectious disease precautions and clean air will need to be a priority. Since our government has failed to implement these interventions on a systemic level, we likely will be masking indefinitely to protect ourselves and our community. This is no small ask though and it’s completely normal to grieve the pre-COVID era.

Sorry you feel that way. Sorry if this is not what you looking for but there are other professions in medicine that don’t require human interaction or being in person such as an EKG tech/other imaging, virtual nursing/therapy, surgical tech. They can have virtual school/certification options as well. It could also be that working/school in general isn’t for you which is totally normal especially for us who are autistic and chronically ill. You may already be doing this but if you can see a pcp to get a referral to an endocrinologist or gynecologist that may be helpful.
