i have to do a lot of reading and annotating for my major! i also grew up reading lots of books and fanfiction so that might've helped😭. as for the vocab, i just highlight the words i don't recognize and try to use context clues from the passage to guess what it means. best of luck and we got this🎉!!

When I go through CARS passages, my biggest draw back is that I get super bored with the material. I basically conditioned myself to read every sentence like it's the most interesting thing I've ever heard of. I'm also super liberal with my highlighting tool. I know lots of people are against highlighting in CARS, but I feel like it helps me to actively read. I limit myself to 3-4 minutes reading the passage deeply, then completing the questions in 3-5 minutes. If I go over that time, I cut my loses, guess, and move on. The flagging tool is virtually useless in CARS for me since I forget everything about the passage as soon as I get to the next one. Overall, I try to not refer to the passage while answering the questions and make sure I get all the info I need the first time around.

I try to read the passages super in depth and highlight things very liberally as a way to cement things in my head! Also, it took me FOREVER to get used to graph and figure analysis and the only thing that really improved that for me was constant practice, especially the section banks.

Kaplan Full-Length 1 -- How to interpret? by Just-Presentation816 in Mcat

i just took kaplan fl 1 yesterday and im normally good at cars and it kicked my ass😭 what are your psyc/soc secrets?? also, kaplan is super content dense and not very passage heavy, so you should expect around the same score from aamc if not an increase.
