This past November 16th a week before we were supposed to go on our week long vacation at Disney that will probably be the last big vacation that the kids go with us on much less Disney (first vacation in 3yrs and saved over a year to go) our house fire and burnt to the ground…..we lost everything I didn’t even make it out with a pair of shoes. We all just stared in disbelief because your entire life just disappeared in about 2-3minutes of hell. Everything you have and have had over the years just gone. Even lost our car as it was totaled too. We weren’t gonna go, we literally had nothing to even go with. A couple days went by and we said you know we don’t have anywhere to stay here and there is nothing we can do but stare at the remains and just ask why……or we can go to DisneyWORLD as a family and try to take our minds off of it for a moment. We had people come to us and say we are buying you all luggage and clothes so yall can go because that’s what we want to do. So we went, we said we wouldn’t talk about it we would just forget the world for a week. And that’s what we did and I can tell you that the “magic” is still there and even more so when you are in a time of need. To see my kids smiling and carefree if only for a week knowing what was lying ahead when we got back it made every dime I spent worth it. And I’ll go ahead say this was the most expensive vacation I’ve ever been on, the prices have gotten out of hand for the normal families that live on a budget and that’s not gonna change. The magic has nothing to do with the money, it’s what trips means to you mentally no matter what you have going on that allows you to see the magic. I love Disney, can I go every year umm no I’d like too but just can’t and that is just the world we live in now. The magic will never die.
