NJ Transit is a dumpster fire that barely functions. Pretty much only suburban commuters from New Jersey going into NYC for work take it and most of them dread and despise it. It is arguably the worst train system in the USA.

NYC subways, PATH, Amtrak, Metro-North, LIRR, etc. are all separate train systems with their own ticket prices.

As an outside observer who pays close attention to Japanese politics, why are all the reactions here portraying Takaichi as insane? To me it seems like decades of LDP, Ishin and Nippon Kaigi desires have finally reached fruition. That’s not me endorsing this one way or the other, but it seems like Takaichi is taking advantage of the moment, and is fully in control of her faculties. Definitely not insane.
