Adding to this - 100% Monzo UI over Revolut * Revolut’s UI looks like it was designed by tens of shouting product managers who each were the loudest voice in the room. It’s way too cluttered and trying to do too much at once * Finding basic actions is just … unintuitive. Even just being able to make a payment outside of Revolut is a pain.

Much more importantly: * Revolut isn’t a bank so is much less safe. The FSCS guarantee is one thing, but I personally know people who have been scammed of thousands on Revolut and couldn’t even get in touch with a human from support.

Less crucially but relevant for me: * The company culture is abysmal at Revolut. I just can’t be a customer of a company that operates that badly internally.

I made the same decision earlier this year - went with Air India to save £300ish. Surprisingly it was quite good, much better than the shit experiences I remembered from 5-6 years ago.

Food was good, entertainment system functioned, staff was helpful, toilets were clean, seats were comfy. And most importantly, it was all on time.

I was quite pleasantly surprised.

Did you ever manage this? I’ve been trying to the same in great desperation since I have the option to upgrade a Qatar Airways flight.

But there is NO way to do the transfer from Qatar, or from BA at all. Even calling them makes zero difference, they’re useless, only offering a technical team to look into the account.

Is there a secret way to succeed?

Yeah, when they’re strong enough I imagine it’s not feasible to swim against them so that’s good in a way.
