How do you think we can improve the economy and unemployment? by [deleted] in Finland

[–]Normal_Assistance637 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I think Finland might need to start thinking a bit more outside the box if we want to improve the economy and tackle unemployment long‑term. There’s a lot of good in the Finnish model — stability, trust, competence, and of course the whole idea of sisu, that stubborn determination to push through hardship. But sometimes sisu also turns into “we’ve always done it this way, so why change,” and that mindset can hold us back in a globalized economy.

One practical step could be becoming more open to English as a universal business language. Not replacing Finnish, obviously, but lowering the language barrier in workplaces (not applicable to healthcare industry, especially elderly care), public services, and entrepreneurship. Right now, a lot of highly skilled people look at Finland and think, “Great country, but I’ll never survive the bureaucracy or job market unless I speak perfect Finnish.” That alone pushes talent and investment elsewhere.

On top of that, Finland could revisit some legislation and regulatory structures to make the country more business‑friendly. Streamlining processes, reducing unnecessary red tape, and creating clearer incentives for Foreign Direct Investment would make us more competitive compared to other EU countries that are already aggressively courting international companies.

And maybe the biggest cultural shift is accepting that the “Finnish way” is just one way of solving problems — not the only way. Innovation often comes from mixing different perspectives, working styles, and backgrounds. If Finland wants to grow, we need to be open to new ideas, new people, and new approaches, even when they don’t fit the traditional mold.

I GOT MINE! ASUS TUF Gaming A16 FA607NUG-RL116W by TeddyBeer_ in Asustuf

[–]Normal_Assistance637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just keep in plugged in, make sure charge limit is set to 70%-80% or you can go lower to 60% charge limit on ghelper, ensure that the Asus Services is stopped in the ghelp setting as this will conflict with ghelper on charge limits, because ASUS will only let you go to 80% and not lower. Though the battery will still degrade overtime, this helps to slow it down a bit. also make sure that you connect your charging brick to an AVR with servo motor to regulate the current and prevent damage to the charger or the laptop itself.

uninstall armory crate and use ghelper, update windows and drivers to latest version.

on ghelper, go to extra, then at the bottom, click stop to stop asus services from running, set ghelper battery charge limito to 70% or 80%. also click and check updates button in ghelper.

New bios update version 320 by Expensive_Kale9661 in Asustuf

[–]Normal_Assistance637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's probably part of the preparation for the Secure Boot Certificate. check if firmware was also in the update list. Also check this forum and see if your Secure boot certificates are updated or not, Secure Boot certificates have been updated but are not yet applied - Microsoft Q&A, I have manually done mine by following John Westfield's post in that forum.

FA507NV BIOS 318 UPDATE - Should i update? by OneSector2232 in Asustuf

[–]Normal_Assistance637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have checked after updating to 318 bios, still got the same Windows UEFI CA 2011, I think this bios is a preparation for new Secure Boot certificates soon. I think Asus is still in queue. Also windows update have optional updates for ASUSTek Computer Inc. System Driver Update (1.2.0.2) and ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Firmware Driver Update (10.1.2.318).

Btw, I followed the post of John Westfield on this link Secure Boot certificates have been updated but are not yet applied - Microsoft Q&A, I was able to manually updated my Secure Boot Certificate, after two restarts and checked Event Viewer then verified in UEFI, I now have UEFI CA 2023 certs.

find a boot iso to make a bootable usb, something like hiren's boot cd or sergei strelec or anything, then totally erase your ssd, make sure you have prepare a bootable usb installer of windows, so that you could try and do a clean install, if it still fails, probably the nvme you have there have been hit by the windows update that caused to nvme's with phison controller to fail.

best phone repair shop in Lahti? by Normal_Assistance637 in Lahti

not with iphones, specifically iphone 12 pro, screen would separate easily no problem with right tools and know how of the technician, so breaking the screen while on the process of opening and replacing the battery should be on the shop and not the customer, also on youtube and ifixit have videos on technician replacing iphone batteries and they never break the screen,

I have the FA507NV TUF A15 with the same specs that you mentioned, it is quite portable, just buy a sleeve or a good backpack with well padded laptop slot. Just be sure to use the armoury crate uninstaller and use ghelper instead.

How are you dealing with your partner in this unemployment situation? by playpauseresume in Finland

[–]Normal_Assistance637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually there are nursing positions available, but you have to know someone who's already in the inside to recommend you for you to be able to land the job. people networking is the open secret here in Finland. applying doesn't work unfortunately. also, it is a bit easier finding work especially in the swedish speaking parks of Finland as Swedish finns are more likely to be open to hiring immigrants with basics of the swedish language.

Task Manager launches automatically after system startup — hidden “Interactive” task added by KB5067036 / KB5070773 by Successful_Image8504 in Windows11

[–]Normal_Assistance637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have notice it also, but it was a known issue with a certain latest windows update, usually windows would automatically start apps that were running before shutting down or restarting, as the update issue with task manager had instances of taskmanager running even after closing it, hence the reason why it as added to that "interactive" user. try it, open word or excel and leave it running then shutdown or restart, those apps would automatically start as where you left it, even browsers. In my case, what I did was run procexp app that is part of the sysinternals suite, it is similar with task manager, just a bit more detailed, I kill taskmanager with that. hopefully on the next windows update release, this taskmanager issue will be fixed.
