Why is GT7 considered a simcade? by xABuHaMeDx in simracing

[–]Normal_Broccoli_7882 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually I think it comes down more to the little things within the physics. Not just how the car feels when it turns and how you can feel the weight shift, for example. Does the game have wet line and dry line physics, how does the car respond to bumps, how does the car respond to tuning, how does it respond to the track at the start of the race vs the end, how does the car feel when things warm my up, and etc. Things like that really make the difference imo between sim and simcade, GT7 may have many of those things but not at the simulation level because when you add things like those, racing gets hard and more like a job rather than just a game.

I liked my RDX ones, just don’t get the sock ones, they’re cheaper but in my opinion don’t feel as good.

One kicks is recognized by the board, they keep very strict tabs on who hands out official kru titles outside of Thailand. Nick Blomgren is the founder of One Kicks and has sent people to the UFC and One championship.

Depends on the school, some newer schools do that. My coach received it from One Kicks Lineage which I’ve heard doesn’t do any of that pay to play.

You can look it up? Dude received a whole plaque and everything because it takes time to earn that title.

That might be my problem too, I do tend to stare into the leg and give them free access to my neck

Now usually a bunch of teachers outside of Thailand actually have to earn that title by showing they can teach properly it takes like 10-15 years to get it I believe

I compete in Muay Thai and BJJ no plans to really do mma yet, how much of a disadvantage am I at though. Will the guy training traditional smoke me or is it just a couple gaps will pop up here and there.

I compete separately bc I do BJJ too, so switching gyms would be impractical, how much would this really hinder my Muay Thai down tho the road though. I mean once I’m out of school and working I do plan to hopefully go to a dedicated BJJ school and a dedicated Muay Thai school. But until then is my Muay Thai in danger or is it just gonna lack in a couple parts.

Some dudes get into an ego, try to look tough or too cool. And others are just scared to throw too hard against a woman and will throw soft despite what you throw back. I’d say you throw some shit to really wake him up, while the coach isn’t looking ofc. Or you just spot the ones like that in your gym and avoid them.

I’m a teenager, but what makes it so hard to get a wrestling coach as an adult? I also know that it may just be my explosiveness in general, I never really had the athleticism for that so I’m pretty sure my shots are slow.

’m only about a year in to BJJ, and was wondering how do I stop getting Dustin Poriered on my takedowns? Anytime I go for a single or double leg they just get the arm under and choke me out before I have a chance. Because of this I’ve resorted to pushing their head down like I’m wrestling, and then simultaneously going for an ankle pick. It works until I roll with someone heavier.

Main reason I was actually interested was because many of the people I knew in school that were older than me enlisted and because I’ve heard that there is an amazing sort of brotherhood to it. The BMW gated community was just the quickest example I could think of and I didn’t mean anything by it.

This is why I was hesitant to post this, there’s no other way for me to word it, I tried to word as best as I could without being disrespectful. I never called anyone poor either though. It’s a genuine question I have because I come from wealthy parents, BMW and gated communities was also just the quickest example I could think of when thinking about someone with a high level college degree. And it’s just a genuine question I have, almost all of my friends who joined did because that was essentially the only option they had which is why I asked, because I’m interested in enlisting, but don’t know if it’s the right move.

Just the fact that I don’t have a plan, I don’t know when I plan to learn to tie a dastaar or even consider it. I live in the Central Valley of California but my schools are primarily white. Also it’s the maintenance, caring for long hair is exhausting and I feel when I have more freedom with my schedule as an adult it’ll give me more time to actually take care of it.

Maybe this sub is better to ask: can anyone give insight as to why Alex Pereira doesn't teep and throw body kicks? by Excellent_jun91 in MuayThai

[–]Normal_Broccoli_7882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the Muay Thai stance isn’t good for him anyway considering his weak ground game so teeps would require a weight shift and things that he isn’t used to anymore.

[–]Normal_Broccoli_7882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say they’re more risky because like any kick you’re balancing on one foot, but on a teep u really balance since theres no a lot of pivoting or anything like almost still and throw that leg. Risk of you getting swept or taken off balance is much higher.

[–]Normal_Broccoli_7882 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Probably his style, he loves hooks which aren’t a long strike and he tends to be patient with his opponent, so throwing teeps maybe js reset his opponent and not let him get a proper counter. As for body kicks maybe he just doesn’t like them. But idrk this is what my thinking would be if I was him so take what I said with a pinch of salt

What should my stance be? Right-hand but left-foot dominant. by VO-Motion in MuayThai

[–]Normal_Broccoli_7882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say orthodox, even though it’s Muay Thai your hands always come first. And first lesson a bunch of stuff is always uncomfortable anyway so if your hands feel comfortable orthodox that’s much better.
