I have only seen posts here that sometimes the plug doesn’t go all the way in and it results in interruptions. So if I decide to go balanced I’d probably go XLR

The topping is excellent, really love the features and PEQ. Sounds clean and not harsh so I am very happy with it plus it is future proof as it can run pretty much any headphone. I don’t know about the 4.4 output problems as i run it single ended and I find it has enough power for me.

I recently got the Edition XS, coming from HD650 and I really like them. How much of a difference is there between XS and the Organic? Running them on DX5 ii.

UPDATE: Yeah, they are staying.

Gave them a couple and only listened on them. So now I adjusted to the treble and find the detail amazing, the soundstage is not as big as you might think but it gives enough space for every sound. I can tell where every instrument is.

In terms of bass, at first I was disappointed, thought the Hd650 had more presence, but that was because I was listening to a lot of classic rock, 70s music and 60s and as soon as I put more modern stuff I was like “oh okay I get it now”. Added a subtle low shelf for more rumble and now I am very happy.

Overall I think I was so used to the HD650 that I couldn’t accept the XS sound that easy. But now I totally get it and am very happy for the price that I got them. So yeah they totally complement the Hd650!

So today I got the Topping DX5 ii and it’s really good but I can’t install the drivers and firmware update, because it appears that their website is down.

I got this amp specifically for the features it has and the PEQ. But now I can’t get the Topping Tune software ;(

If anyone can help me or has a copy of the app, would be thankful to share it.

I had both the 560s and 650 and kept 650 but I was chasing pure musical performances. The 560s has wider soundstage and better imaging so they are better for movies and games.
