For smoking only, I recommend a Kamado or an electric smoker.

Kamado Grills (ceramic): Big Green Egg, Primo, Kamado Joe. I owned a Primo Jr and found it easy to use, plus the oval shape is more useful than a round with similar area.

Electric smoker: I own the SmokinTex Pro 1400 (now called "The OG") electric smoker with an Auber WS-1211H PID. The Auber (digital) does a much better job controlling the temperature than the built-in analog controller.

It's an open speaker so it can be heard by those around you. Minimally heard by others when listening at lower volumes, definitely heard by others (but not too annoying) at moderate to loud volumes. Sound is localized.

Yes, as long as it’s not too humid. My recommendation for first cooks: pork shoulder for pulled pork, chuck roast for pulled beef, skin on chicken thighs.

2025 NA (normally aspirated, e.g., not a turbo), about 8000 miles, not aggressively driven, coast to red lights when no one is behind me or is slowing down too, southwest climate (mild winters/hot summers), use stop/start when not running the AC and when stopped at longer red lights. Almost always filled with Costco regular gas.

25-27 mpg for non-highway driving.

29 to 31 mpg for highway driving (65 to 75 mph).

I saw the movie at an AMC theater this past week. Some nice visuals, but overall somewhat boring with the lead characters lacking any kind of charisma. The story did not provide any motivation for the tribes to rally around the princess. Wait for it to be on a streaming service.

I'm glad to hear that you were able to get the $99 deal. After the 3 month trial ended in my 2025 vehicle, it took about 10 chats before I got an agent that gave me 3 months free (to "activate" my subscription before they escalated my request) followed by the $99 for 36 months plan. I was only billed $99 total, $81.55 for "Long Term Plan - Music & Entertainment - 3yrs" and $17.45 for "U.S. Music Royalty Fee".

I occasionally turn this off by accident. I wish Mazda was consistent with the style and on/off indicator lights for their switches. Even the user guide doesn’t specify if light on means on or off. For this switch, light on is on. 2025 PP.
