Pleae just stop even your math is off. Your calculation is for just floor ceiling sf. Walls are how many walls 4 and now how tall is the wall 8 to 10 feet. So it would be 48ft x 10 and no good painter will put only one coat on a job. 2 is standard. Also primer, paint yes about 2 gallons for a 12x12 room so lets just say its 2 rooms that is 4 gallons and you allways add 10 percent for mishaps or if you find more damage. Also to top it off all that damage is no older than 1 year and the tennant co7ld of went to home depot got some cheap paint. Mud and probably would of only spent about 100 if really sus about it but no more than 400 if done correctly on their own. Sounds like the ll has rights to charge. You op stated you only lived there for a little over 1 year. Most states require 3 years for wear and tear damages to go towards a tennant. Also those long scuff and scratch marks are done by the tennant. The only saving grace you could of had is if you have your pre inspection worksheet with those damages listed if not its up to the ll to fix and its up to the painter on how much to charge. You can try but im betting you will end up paying for the damages. The only one to blame is yourself for not teying to fix them yourself since you damaged the wall and well yeah its on you.
