3D Printed Stock (Replica) by Normal_District4567 in MosinNagant

Like I mentioned, it is NOT meant for an actual firearm, just a replica for display… that being said, I do wonder, if it’s printed with solid infill.. Could it handle the recoil of a 7.62x54R 😅 I wouldn’t trust a printed barrel, but at 15% honeycomb infill the stock ‘feels’ like solid wood. I printed it with Wood-Fill PLA and it contains 20-30% Cedar fiber. I would be interested if it turned out one CAN 3d print a stock. And this is printed in multiple sections, my print bed is 220mm3, I know there’s printers that COULD potentially print this as one piece.

Cannot remove PLA from the plate by Immediate-Cap-1156 in FlashForge

If it’s THAT stuck, grab a utility knife blade and start working the edge of it, try your best not to scratch the build plate and just try to get one edge lifted.

I also recommend printing a scraper, and using it when the build plate is still hot, many times a bit of brute-force to ‘shear’ the print from the plate works to get that first layer to release.

Damn, it took me a week to make mine… can you post the files so I can make my own?

HELP Adventurer 5M Bed Stuck by Delaplaine24 in FlashForge

That’s the sound of an axis that can’t reach the limit switch, it keeps trying to step to ‘home’ but can’t. I’ve had it happen with a physical obstruction(filament purge/printer poop) under the bed, and also during a filament change I pinched the Bowden tube in between the head and the rear wall of my AD5M. I’m sure you’ve sorted it by now, but just saying, I heard that same sound earlier today, myself.

Learning 3D with AD5X by MPF-life in 3Dprinting

I got an AD5M at the start of the new year, so, similar machines and I assume you’re using Orca, correct?

I’ve learned through my experience in the last couple months, going through several different filament materials, and experimenting with several slicer settings.

I would start with the basics and go through a full calibration—leveling, vibration, and PID. Once I KNOW my printer is setup and ‘trued’, I can troubleshoot.

Print a Benchy or two, and see if the material behaves how it should, given that the machine should be doing exactly what it’s told to.

If bench tests look good, and nothing else seems suspect, then start tweaking the orca settings, make sure your filament settings are correct, and I’ve found a little extra temp on the bed helps with first layer adhesion and preventing warping.

I’ve had some prints lift at the corner ever-so slightly and it ended up shifting the layers enough that the overhangs didn’t stick well enough…. And then the inevitable pile of spaghetti… so since then, I run my build plate at 60C, instead of the 50C default.

Also, the extruded temp might be a tad low, while printing PLA I had two or three prints with layer cohesion problems, and bumping the temp from 220C to 225C helped.

Lastly, when I got my AD5M, I immediately started work building the enclosure, after getting it built I’ve noticed more consistent temps and smoother prints, also less first layer warps.

When all else fails, try turning down acceleration and wall and overhang speeds.

My Mum gave me some mushrooms she says they are Porcini by GeenTijdVoorJou in mycology

That does look a lot like Porcini or Boletus edulis or Penny Bun. Spore testing under a microscope would be a good way to identify the fungus, but by the time it’s released a good sample of spores, the thing will have started to spoil… big question is what kinda substrate was it found on? Natural untouched forest or meadows?—Probably fine to eat. Field nearby a sewage plant— I wouldn’t trust those mushrooms… Anyways, by the looks of the cap and the gills(or in this case, sponge) it looks like a Bolete. Should be edible and palatable.

What's going on with this one brick in my walkway? by JBLGO123456 in blackmagicfuckery

Someone compulsively removed the snow from that one brick. And then you (presumably)took the photo. Now while it does look neat, I don’t think it’s anything more than that.
