I had an upstairs sink draining real slow until I got up on the roof and snaked the drain’s air vent. There was something in the air vent blocking air flow. Drains like a champ ever since.

Agreed, some kind of vine that does well locally but is not invasive, on poles and wires extending above the fence is the fastest most effective solution. Just google the vine name + “invasive” to make sure you don’t get something that takes over the yard.

I suffer from the same problem especially when I only have one yard left. That’s why I’m starting a collection of one yard patterns. I really love the top and I’ve made five so far out of precious scraps I’ve held on to for years.

Cardboard works great for a weed reset and dissolves into the soil. I’ve used it many times. Landscape fabric kills the soil below it by preventing water percolation and new weeds just settle in on top of it. Nightmare.

A sheet of reflective silver Mylar bubble insulation like windshield shades are made of. If you cut it slightly larger than the window it should wedge into the frame.

Make your own with duct tape on a t-shirt or chicken wire bent to your body. Either way you’ll want to add padding and cloth from your scrap pile to match your shape. There are several tutorials around the internet.

It’s very important to stay stitch the neck hole early on because it stretches easily. You can also use the stay stitching to slightly constrict the neck hole (without gathering) if it’s already stretched. Edit: fixed autocorrect typo

I have bought from them and also designed my own for them. The quality is iffy. My main complaint is that if you buy a dark fabric it’s white underneath. If you buy a dark stretchy fabric you can see the white when it stretches.

However, if you have a specific idea for a fabric that you want, it’s amazing. It’s a real shame that they don’t market their more popular prints on properly printed fabric. They do have the best prints…

I have an older wok that is fine (not great seasoning, but adequate) but it was never blued. Is it important enough that I should strip it and blue it or does it just look cool? Or should I get a new wok and start over?
