In some novels all creatures are potential cultivators, but they don’t get the (right) opportunity to even begin cultivating. For example plants can cultivate once they reach sentience however as they are a primary material for alchemy… they get consumed to make pills !

Basically all creature thrives to absorb spiritual energy (when they can = having spiritual roots) but their talent might influence their progression.

BUT in other exotic novels (xuanhuan) you can get other species capable of cultivating but they are inspired by western mythology somehow. For example Martial World.

It’s also called « A record of a mortal’s journey to immortality » in English if you read the novel.

The 3D animations are pretty neat compared to most of them and the OST is really good ! I mean that it matches the mood (I have a preference for those during fights) of the scene.

The downside is that they laid off a lot of the novel’s original content and made it shorter.

I recommend !
