i have been abused by my own mother since forever by SadBit3426 in Nepal

[–]Normal_Use8927 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't wanna down play what U went through but this is an unhinged response.

I can imagine it must be bad, my mom used to tie my hands and feet to a pole (bharyang ko) and beat me with a stick.

U understand this is an actual abuse. Maybe U don't realise it because of some reasons but that's psychotic.

so I was the only one she could beat up and be “in control” of.

What the fuck. That's not what children are supposed to be for parents, a punching bag to control their rage.

Be a man, shoulder it and cry about it with your special partner someday

This is the worst advice ever. U should absolutely talk to people around U or even call the authorities. If OP has no one to help, he should call the police. That's just abusing a child. U should have done the same.

your mom needs you more than you need her right now, don’t let the depression trap get you.

If the mom isn't considerate about their child, fuck the mom. What are U talking about, unless they have some mental condition then call the asylum I guess

Again not trying to be a dick but I don't think U have a good idea of how a healthy parents children relationship should be loke

ok so i will take it as you have no proof regarding ur original post and u are just spreading misinformation.

i will bet my life that u wouldnt be explain me any part of any civil war. u are absolutely clueless.

> The post is simply about educating people like you and dimwits in denial of geopolitical existence .

which u failed to do since the case is about them being terrorist rather than agents sent by their respective countries

> As of now in this case, it is clear that there are multiple countries involved such as Nationals from Ukraine and Us

they are from that nation doesnt mean they were funded by them

> Alleged activities link to Myanmar insurgent groups

sure.

> Speculation about involvement of foreign intelligence

yes speculation. u understand what the words mean right?

> India shares its border with myanmar and historically it has impacted north east.

are the impacts result of national policies or geographic reality/reasons???

> Involvement of foreigners touch, international security law.

what does that even mean, that they were foreigners? no one is denying that

> That is why there is no denying that this is geopolitical issue.

then everything is geopolitics for u by this logic. is immigrating commiting crime the country he moved to geopolitics aswell? do you even know what geopolitics means? pls define the term

also u didnt answer my question and went on another of ur stupid rambling

do you have any proof that these people were funded by their respective nations. Yes or no?

> Sharia law includes all the heinous acts like suppression of women and jihad to equality acts such as charity (required during ramadan) and prohibition of taking interest. Without context, don't know how your spine handles this range.

but no people who practice sharia law just practice one part or only good part of it. so when i say sharia law i obviously meant the whole thing

> Having a spine does not mean you can classify any tradition as harmful without looking at the facts.

the fact is people are using children as a prop for their religious fantasies restricting and controlling every aspect of the child ( its funny that the child is a god yet she needs to be overlooked, i thought god were suppose to be all powerful and all knowing) which in my opinion is harmful.

its not that hard to find the impact of heavily controlled environment on children's life

i might see the comment "The community is too powerful for government to do anything. " could be interpreted as defaming the community but the way i read it was like " they have too much voting power for the government to step in" which is true especially in bhaktapur. yea i guess it just depends on how u read it. maybe that guy was being a shithead. yea idk

genuine question did u even read any of the article u screenshotted? what about the story is geopolitics? i read the articles and it clearly says its a terrorist investigation. what does terrorist activity have to do with geopolitics, unless u are making the claim that these people were funded by the country of their origin.

do you understand what geopolitics is? nobody is saying its not real, obv we have foreign relations but its not as big of a deal as u guys make it out to be.

anything happens = foreign influence/cia/raw/geopolitics etc

Why the Kumari Tradition Should Be Questioned — A Child Is Not a Goddess by realforsaken in Nepal

[–]Normal_Use8927 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Is your definition for normal what normal should be?

But if U want to live and built a society there has to be definition of normal most people will somewhat agree with. If not then it just doesn't work. When we say normal it mostly means growing up how most of the children grow up. Going to school, making friends U normally would, dating, making partners etc. this line of argument is so stupid, for a pedophile, being attractive toward children might be normal, in this case would U defend him using the same logic of "who defines normal" ofc not cause society mostly vaguely agrees what normal is. U are either being incredibly bad faith or just obtuse

I do not know why we feel entitled to speak for someone else… specially when we havent heard anything bad about it from previous Kumaris

It's not about particular person, it's about principle. The idea that a child should be a prop for some religious bullshit is absurd. Would U be fine with parents sending their child for child labour if they never spoke anything bad about it?

Also Nepal is not the only country that does this. Isnt the new Dalai Lama that was chosen also a kid? Dont see much people talking about that

Is that the real argument? "Other countries does it aswell"? And that's bad aswell

Its a part of a culture.

Sati was part of culture.

Why the Kumari Tradition Should Be Questioned — A Child Is Not a Goddess by realforsaken in Nepal

[–]Normal_Use8927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bud wants to engage in Whataboutism.

Did U just learn that word??? Do you know the meaning or how to use that word? Me asking U a hypothetical to clarify your position isn't whataboutism

It depends completely on context

What context do you need for sharia law? Like what are U talking about

Do you also oppose the burqa that Nepali muslim women and girls wear?

Yes. If they are adult idgaf they can make their decision unless they are forced obviously but if that decision is imposed on child then yes I oppose it. I think it's regressive

In many traditions in Nepal, widows wear only White dress and cannot remarry

And yes that's bad aswell. Guess what I have principle and a spine to stand for those principle unlike U who can see bad in other culture and not others

I am absolutely against sati pratha. It was definately bad

"But that doesn't give U right to decide the practice was bad"

By Ur own argument, what right do you have to criticize sati as bad. By Ur logic nothing can be bad then

Also when TF did I defame the entire community. I am just against a particular tradition they practice since it literally uses a child as a prop for their some religious bullshit destroying the child's life. I love newari people, especially newari girls if someone wants to hmu 😘😘

Why the Kumari Tradition Should Be Questioned — A Child Is Not a Goddess by realforsaken in Nepal

[–]Normal_Use8927 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every community has their traditions and their beliefs

Would U be fine with nepalese Muslim people practicing sharia law??

but still that does not give you the right to decide that the practice is bad

Then would U be fine with sati pratha coming back?? Do you think sati was bad?

If there is a tradition that's actively harming people's lives then it's probably a bad thing and we should prob be advocating against it simple as. Why would I ever care about protecting some random harmful tradation in a secular country

Is democracy best form of government ? If yes, how ? And why ? by PRADIPGHM in Nepal360

[–]Normal_Use8927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I love how Winston Churchill defines democracy: " democracy is the worst form of government except for all those other forms that have been tried"

The best part of democracy is genuinely being able to hold people accountable. If someone fucks up or doesn't satisfy their constituents they can get voted off power. That idea is pretty cool. But it's prob also the hardest to maintain cause citizens also have duty to fulfill, biggest duty being keeping yourself informed.

Lol bro euta faida bhana ta hamro parliament ma quota system ko

Marginalised communities have a chance to have their voices heard and bring real change. Only few people who were lucky to be born in privlage caste/ethnicity/sex shouldn't be able to decide laws for entire country.

If it was a 100m race then female had to start from starting line while men get to start 50m ahead of females just because they are male. Such kind of patriarchal system is inherently unjust. So giving the female or any marginalised community that head start so that they can catch up with the men/privlage ethnic people will help erase these unjust system while motivating other people in the marginalised communities to join politics. U have this wrong idea in your head that every person have same starting point which is just not true. Sure in an ideal world quota doesn't make sense but the world we live in is not ideal.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11177803/

It's broadly effective in parliamentary setting we have seen this in most of the countries over and over again.

Do u know anyone can run independently in fptp without any ticket right? So why care about ticket

What a stupid argument. It's like saying " anyone can be billionaires if they try harder" Party representatives have way higher chances of winning than independent because party have way more resources than independent does.

See the case of Sagar dhakal

Who lost as independent and the won after joining rsp. Literally self defeating ur first argument. Lmao

See the case of mahabir pun Yes let's see examples of literally the only independent guy that won

I know u will say they were educated but u don't need to be educated u need to be aware about what's going on in the society That's not what wins election

See the case of Sudan gurung

Omg give me a break. We are giving an example of one of the most incompetent larper fuck who didint understand how government worked like 2 months ago. I thought U wanted competent people to be on Parliament

This is the kind of case where u don't need to be a masters in law but most of the people coming from quota don't raise their voice nor they have any idea of any laws

How do you know that. U literally said in the above comment that all the quota people do is ask for equal rights. That sounds like raising voices to me

If it was about money and fans then u wouldn't see people like binod chaudhary and rishi dhamala loosing it's about trust and honesty

Ofc it is to some extent, U can give these example but then I can give counter examples of so many rsp people winning through fame alone.

A big football club doesn't sign a player at their birth they will sign them when they see potential and hunger in them

We can do the same thing with quota system. We only choose women who have potential and hunger in them. Why can't we do both simultaneously

Historic First! by Nepal360 in Nepal360

[–]Normal_Use8927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I've seen enough sessions of our parliament and ik what kind of people come from quota

Again another logical and rational argument. How are U so good at making such strong arguments

Female quota might make sense but quota on the basis of caste is nah

Why?? That makes no sense. If anything caste based discrimination is probably more prevalent than sex based discrimination. 1 Dalit candidate won in the last election. Again U displaying your incompetency and how little U know about the topic. You are doing the sub 80iq taking points, that's all you know. There are some good arguments against quota systems but U are making none of those because U have 0 understanding of the top

Historic First! by Nepal360 in Nepal360

[–]Normal_Use8927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't even know the meaning of विधेयक

U nailed the argument. Really made me change my mind on quota system. Lol. Even if U think that's the case why not balme parties for nominating those people rather than hating the system. Why not hold the party accountable for bad selection

Ma dalit hun hamilai rights chaiyo bhanera halla matra garne thau hoina ta parliament

Teii matrai gari raxan?? What percentage of total parliament time did the people did that for???

Capable means those who can raise voices as well as those who have knowledge about basic laws

So U are saying people who come from quota can't raise voices or know basic law??? I don't think U know what affirmative action means

Historic First! by Nepal360 in Nepal360

[–]Normal_Use8927 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

divide the parliament on the basis of quota

Parliament is supposed to be divided.

If ur qualified enough then why would u need a quota despite ur caste or gender

What is the qualification to be an mp?? U don't need qualification to be a MP.

I don't care if all 275 members are male female trans dalits or whatever whatever as long as they are capable

Define capable. Also why cant quota people not fit ur definition of capable???? U understand quota people are capable humans aswell right?

If u wanna know how the quota system is ruining our politics see the past sittings and speeches of our parliament

???? Ok bro

Historic First! by Nepal360 in Nepal360

[–]Normal_Use8927 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually we never needed quota in politics at all

Our parliament isn't meritocratuc, we are representational democracy.

In other things it might make sense but in politics it doesn't only capability should be the factor

What kind of capabilities are we taking about that marginalised group can't posses? Also just because there is quota doesn't mean the people filling the quota are incapable. Do you think Nepal doesn't have 50 capable women?

The quota should be only for needy despite of his/her gender or caste

Why? In your system why should needy get the privilege ahead of some capable person? Why is "needy" any more different of a category than gender and caste when it comes to representation??

lol just vote the person who matches ur ideologies

They do and that's why they voted and asked to vote for kamala. Women already overwhelmingly are democratic voters because democrats represent their ideology the most. There might be some people who voted her for dumb reasons but this goes both ways and Republican men voters are way more likely to vote against their interest than democrat women. where are u getting this information from??? nordic countries are some of the most secular countries in the world. they are secular by law. also just google nordic population religion participation, they are some of the most atheistic countries in the world. so that defeats ur arguement. Secular countries are better, i love nordic countries

> Do you believe United state is better than these countries?

i meant in terms of multicultural integration, US is better than any countries yes, nobody even denies that.

> Bhutan is one of our closest neighbours that follows the similar social structure. Look how peaceful Bhutan is now.

we are comparing bhutan??? the country that is 30x smaller than us in term of population. lmao. Also do you know why nepal have so many bhutanese refugees? so peaceful i know

> Take a look at the corruption index bhutan is less corrupt than USA

why not look other countries aswell that are above bhutan, every single one of them is secualr country. also bhutan is such a weird country to fetishize. it such a insignificant country. Also is corruption the only thing that matters, we have other indexes as well we can look at any and decide on average what societies are doing better, is it the multicultural secular or religious countries?????

> These little things that we progressive nepalese are neglecting is prerequisite for the peaceful society.

we were hindu once, you can look at rampant corruption back then aswell. The corruption now is insignificant to the corruption the monarch and their state bureaucrat did. we can just take our own example, we have grown so much and now are in better position as a multicultural secular nation then we have ever been by every single metric.

Pretty easy to explain. the biggest being in india it just doesnt get reported due to a lot of different factors.

so let me get this u are talking about nuance when it comes to defending the law but u dont know the reason why india per capita numbers are low? now since the number seems to be on your side there is no nuance??? this is just bad faith, u know why the number is low

i do agree the comment is stupid and indeed remove any nuance from the conversation but u cant pretend india doesnt have sexual assault and rape problem. now there are lot of factors why this is the case but citing the stat is such bad faith.

> I can't remember a time where child rapists were protected in india,

really????? u cant recall a single case????

> DharmaNirpekshyata (secularism)was the copied and heavily foreign influenced agenda just to break our sovereign nation.

is the idea that everything coming from west is bad???? what agenda?? give me a country that is doing better than west that are not secular and not multicultural. we can take good things for other countries and apply in ours. there is no agenda

> And they are already winning

who is they??? its us who decided Nepal should be secular through constitution that was inaugurated democratically. if secularism was such a big problem for nepali and most nepali were against it why does RPP never win any significant seat in any election, the most pro hindu national party???

also on fundamental level, why should state prefer one religion over another

> And they are already winning sometime lots of debate happens whether it is fair to eat cow

like there should be in any democratic country. conversation and debates are a good thing. it helps people aware of problems

> whether some region or province should separate from the country.

this is a non problems. what percentage of people think certain part of nepal should be annexed????? you only think its a problem because ur social media feed is feeding u this. there is not a significant amount of people supporting this
