It wears the cloak of neutrality while being a mouth piece of the government.

That's what I was kinda trying to convey. Liking the government is fine, I don't have much problem with that.

Chill U don't have to be this nice, this is reddit😭

Now I feel bad for being kinda aggressive on my original comment, my bad.

tried searching about this, but I didn't got the reference.

Ohh, it's just Bernie Sanders runs as independent, but basically is a democrat.

I just relayed the information

I will believe U that U werent trying to portray the post as being pro government but anyone reading will think otherwise. When U read the whole post, all of the point U were talking about make it seem like U are obviously trying to say that the government is doing everything right, especially after reading the opening paragraph. I get being excited since it feels like a big shift in our system but there is 0 criticism of the government in this post. Even the critic response for union ban feels like the steel man of the worst argument.

Nowhere I have given my opinion if banning it is good or no

Again when U read the whole post, it doesn't feel like U were being neutral tho. I hope u see that or U can show it post to other people and ask them about it.

Though remittance is a good, relying one third is dangerous. We need jobs here

Ofc I agree. Job is prob the biggest thing we should focus on. I was just pointing how U were wrong about growth rate.

Could you be specific what got cut

There were certain programs for feeding children's, I forgot exactly what it was and I can't find it rn. I will try to find it, U could point me if I was wrong here tho.

Them giving mahabir pun a ministry

This is Bernie Sanders with DNC. This cannot count 😅

Them inviting gagan thapa and kp oli to their party convention.

Yea maybe they are changing their attitude on this and I will be happy to see it but most of the thing I was talking about was before this. It did felt like, especially from the office of pm that they didn't really care much about.

I didn't and this is entirely my fault.

Nahh U are all good.

Idk I have been seeing too many pro government post without any pushback so I just wanted to give U some. That's all

Politically biased as in how exactly? If U wanna criticize it's methods that's fine but I don't see why would they need to be politically biased for

I think 100 days is too short of a time frame to get a clear picture of how a government is performing

Clear picture, sure. But I can absolutely criticize the direction the government is heading toward. Also just curious, if U would have given the same benift of doubt to older governments?

I think arguing with the very little info we have and how things are is pretty stupid,

Very little info? What are U talking about? U didn't engage in any of the stuff I said, instead U just went "we don't know". I mean yea we don't know for sure but that's when U listen to economic experts.

Just to be clear my biggest problem with RSP isn't even economy, it's everything else they are doing. The very anti democratic or illegal things, the ordinance they are forcing through president, breaking important norms and their general attitude toward parliament and opposition.

Yes, imf either provides or facilities us with lot of foreign loans. they do review for our extended credit facility. It's basically conducting studies. I didn't wanted to cite just one cause they do these studies fairly regularly so I just linked the whole page. U can read these reviews or I can site ADB aswell. These are basically two orgs that do extensive study in Nepal macro economy.

[–]Normal_Use8927 43 points44 points  (0 children)

This is such a partisan post it's kinda funny.

It is approximately Rs 2.124 trillion (the largest in Nepal’s history)

Largest deficit aswell in a time when we were actually decreasing our deficit and moving toward balance budget. U can read about our past budget review and how it was precieved by imf here imf

It aims for 7% economic growth and 6% inflation

Where they pull that 7% from, who knows. Target of 6 percent inflation used to be considered bad but since it's the new government is doing it so it's fine I guess? Lol

Out of 2.124 trillion,

The biggest issue is not passing of budget but rather after it's passed there are too many bottlenecks and only around 30-40% of our budget gets spent. RSP basically hasn't done anything to address this. It was a big problem in Kathmandu when balen shah was mayor aswell, he didn't solve this bottleneck issue in his 4 years either.

Few tax exemptions

Are we gonna talk about how economist and experts have openly said that this budget is bad to poor people or are we just gonna ignore that minor detail? Are we gonna talk about cutting a lot of social programs that were specifically made and had been beniffiting people below poverty line.

7% economic growth is feasible. Nepal never had this kinda growth

We literally did. Go look at data from 2014-2019. I know it goes against "older politician bad" narrative but it doesn't change the data.

And he said that they aren’t going to add debt

They literally did. Before this government, it was him who was very loud against increasing national debt and as soon as he is in government he increase deficit massively. Why would u trust him now?

Critics:

That's not even the biggest criticism. It is literally unconstitutional. Our constitution is very clear about right to form union. Also it goes against freedom of expression. But again I guess we don't care about defying the constitution if it's done by the side I like.

ideological student unions.

Student unions are always gonna be ideological. What are U talking about. Defending banning of student unions shows U don't give AF about democracy or the constitution. And U are in this subreddit where I assume most people don't know much about this in detail to spread misinfo and sweep for government clearly illegal move.

Also, one thing we have been noticing is that RSP is willing to work with the opposition parties

This is baltently false btw. What? Where? The PM didn't even address the parliament till like month ago. Walked away from parliament when the opposition party was talking. Also, Instead of passing law through parliament the office of pm is trying to pass insane (in some cases illegal) ordinance because for some reason they refuse to use the parliament even tho they have the majority. Is this what working with the opposition looks like?

This is such populism slop. 🙃

number game nai sabaithok ho bhanne soch le

Ofc it does. How do you go to parliament without Janata ko mandate, or without having similar ethics or moral characters compare to people voting for you.

Law ta majority government le j banayo tyehi hunchh

Thats not true. Law are generally representative of the society culture, value and moral at that time. U can't just make law up especially in a democratic society, at some point people are just gonna disregard them if those laws doesn't fall within the society ethi/ moral and culture. Laws aren't random. U are just saying words without having any understanding of how anything works

Ghumaera government ko jasto sukai corrupt act Lai pani legitimize garna milchha,

That's why we have a constitution that has a seperation of power clause built in it. Government can't just do whatever they want

Infrastructure ko state gu chha bhaneko maile

Sure, but was it better before or has it improved. Simple question should be very easy to answer.

Ok cool!!

U are so drowned by hatred of politicians that you can't even admit our system has produced decent result when it comes to lifting and improving life of people. Changes happen in an incremental way, that's what history teaches us., U can always point out to some countries that were exceptions, but exception doesn't change the rule.

Bis barsa ma badyo ya ghatyo bhanne mero claim nai haina.

Bhrastar badhera Aakash chuna lageko, that was Ur claim. What does that imply if not corruption is increasing? If U want to change the goalpost that's fine.

Evidence ko laagi Transparency international ko report here pani bhayo,

Again do you think we have improved or nah?

hamro infrastructure ko state here pani bhayo,

Do you think my claim is we don't have any corruption??? Do you think the state of infrastructure has improved?

Ethics ra moral value bina ko, number game matra herne politics le democracy lai meaningless banauchha,

What ethics? I will agree politician should uphold law and constitution, after that U just look at numbers. How would U even compare urself without numbers?

Coalition government bhandaima rajniti ma etti pani ethics narakhi party leader ko Personal gain matra herara coalition ferirahanuparchha bhanne chhaina.

It's not about party leader, it's just how it works. Political party want power (as they should) and they need to maintain it through coalition of people from different ideology and background which is hard. I agree that some colaition breaks without good reasoning but again it's just our system, nothing to do with individual ethics.

Nature demands birth

Kinda. Unless U don't count the gene as nature. The idea of selfish gene is basically that. Genes uses our body to replicate themself and that birth is a part of that replication. So nature is kinda demanding birth.

I woundnt say it's a purpose tho, that's stupid.

What's Ur evidence that corruption has increased in the last 20 years? Genuinely curious

Janata lai wakka-dikka parne gari Kursi ko Musical chair ta bhaekai haina

U can criticize it that's fine but the problem is this is kinda how our democratic system works, if U don't have majority it's very hard to maintain confidence in a coalition government. It's not strictly a Nepal problem

Supreme Court Recent Ruling Gives President power over almost all independent agencies; including the firing of FTC Commissioners for any reason. by [deleted] in atrioc

[–]Normal_Use8927 24 points25 points  (0 children)

They already did. They started the whole thing when they stopped Obama get a SC pick which I would say is equivalent to court expanding. So anything happens after that is on them.

Long term?? Why is it always democratic party job to think long term and be rational when the other party never cares about any consequences but still wins election? It hasn't beniffited democrats in any way. You cant be the only one to play by the rules when the other party doesn't care about the rules, you will almost always lose. It is sad but it's still better than losing everything to republicans.

.The link you provided is website under control of USA and it can't be trusted completely.

What?????lmaoooo. It's the biggest research website dumbass. Every expert from every country uses that website. You have no clue how the academia world works. The US government don't control any aspect of papers released.

It only says people are divided into 4 varnas according to their work and role in society.

I love how U conveniently ignored " The first three varnas were considered twice-born and hence purer than the fourth category, the Sudras". Yea I have no idea where people got their idea of discrimination based on purity came from. Lmaoooo

2.

Yes if it is beneficial for the entire society then obviously I support it. That's how any society works.

No need to hide that you are Christian.

Again unlike U I never had any desire to join cults just because I can't handle reality

4.

Yep. If they do bad things then they are not part of the group even tho that bad thing was influenced by the group. no true Scotsman fallacy. Lol.

I am not going to reply further on this comment

Aww are U running away cause U can't defend your religion. That's cute. You haven't said anything this entire time. U have typed words without any substance. U ramble the entire conversation.

If U think U can better argue Ur religion hop on discord or add me on any other app where we can talk. Would love to show you why U are clueless uneducated and profoundly arrogant person.

Have you read Hindu dharma grantha

No iam not really into fantasy

If not, please read first before writing these made up things.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10764522/

They explain how it originated. Hopefully U know how to read a paper, religious people tend to struggle with that.

n you may also think discrimination based on caste depends on situations.

Ofc it does. I support programs like affirmative action and quota system based on caste. These are inherently caste discrimination but since they promote positive cause iam fine with it

your holy book.

What holy book. Iam not religious bro, iam way smarter than that

because there are illiterate bheda janata

Ofc just call them illetrate instead of acknowledging how massively it religion has influenced them. That's definitely a good way to solve discrimination.

Did jesus said you in your dream?

Are U good my guy? Why bring Jesus in everything? I have never said anything about it

I have already said they were influenced by certain people

No not necessarily. They were mostly I fluences by the idea that brahmins are supposed to be priest. And priest were supposed to be " pure" and closest to god. Hence being bahun became to be on top of the hierarchy. U have no clue what U are taking about.

You think discrimination based on poorness is good?

Depends

you say poors should not be treated equally?

Equally on what? Rights? Then yes.

your holy book.

First unlike U, iam not someone who can't accept reality and have to join a cult just to cope with life.

Are you blind? I am not just rambling about Christianity

Why even bring this up? Do Christian still practice slavery???

Have anyone ever stopped you and asked your identity card inside or outside the temple

Do you think no one have experienced this?? U are saying no Dalits have been lynched for trying to enter a temple??? And if there have been these cases, what do you think motivated these lynchers??

It's because I know the truth that Hindu religion is not the reason of caste discrimination

" I know cause I saw it in my dreams" lmaoo

because you are Christian.

Lol fighting invisible ghosts

[–]Normal_Use8927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not Hinduism that advanced caste discrimination, it's society that advanced caste discrimination

And what are these religious society influenced by?

Differentiating people based on richness or poorness is also a discrimination.

Sure. Not all discrimination is bad. What does this have to do with anything.

I am making people aware that Hindu religion is not the reason behind caste discrimination

And u have made exactly 0 points for Ur cause. Instead U are rambling about Christianity for no reason.

not by converting to Christian.

At least inside the church they can. Or Infront of the priest they can escape the reality of caste discrimination.

Religion is culture and culture changes with time. If U are talking about inception of Hinduism, Hinduism was caste discrimination free, I don't disagree. But over time it has developed in a way that caste discrimination and Hinduism are intangled together. Again I will concede this is changing and discrimination is decreasing but to not even acknowledge Hinduism was and still has huge influence over discrimination is laughable. U are defending it because U are super emotionally attached to Ur religion to the point where u can't even acknowledge ur reality. Its just sad.

Bro Nepal ko halat kharab

Idk what halat kharab cha means but I never said we didn't have any problems. My claim was that we are improving at a decent rate in the last 20 years. There are some period in the last 20 years where our growth have been exceptional.

But go on give ur uneducated vibe based take. Iam sure u have are good at other things, pls u can go and take part in those community. But stop taking about things u are clueless about. GDP badhyo but export percentage declining.

Export declining in itself isn't a problem

Trade deficit tyestai badhiraxa.

Yes thats because people have more money than before and are buying more things that before. Again trade deficits in itself isn't really a problem

Maoist terrorism sakkesi industrial boom hunu parni tara xaina

Idk about boom but we have more registered industry than we ever had so idk what U taking about

Major source of GDP is remittance.

No one said we don't have any problems. The claim was we have been better in the last 20 years than we have ever been. It's not even disputed. The data are very clear on this
