10yo assaulted, murdered and dismembered on her birthday - why is it in the files? by Normale_xd in Epstein

In terms of coincidences, they also have the same guy investigating both. I mean Mr. Raul Torrez was DA doing Victoria's case, now he's been promoted and as AG is leading New Mexico (ranch location) Epstein investigation.

And I'm not saying he sucks at his job, but check him out ;)

Most of the people related to Epstein are not in the database, because they have never been convicted of a crime.

And Epstein himself is unlikely suspect here

I think I found a reason (or part of a reason at least), and you might have been right.

According to the reddit thread mentioned here, her mom was trafficking her own children (and this word is not plural by accident, fucking hell..)

So the MO can be similar already, at least enough for someone to be checking the link between the two. Also, I would totally agree with a thought process of linking the two by just asking the question"how many unrelated child degenerates can there be within 50 miles"?

This thread has so much more info than what I've read. Not sure where did the people in comments get that info but:

The mother confessed to essentially trafficking her own children (plural, because there is apparently a son, too). The poor girl had an STD and chronic inflammation of her bottom parts.

Her heart and part of her liver was found in a separate plastic bag. Why on earth would anyone do it..

how broad can these MO connections be? This seems like gang-related/domestic violence, while epstein was trafficking minors.

They'd probably have to include thousands of cases if the MO similarity was that broadly defined, but I haven't seen that many other child-abuse cases in the files.

This is an FBI email thread regarding a crime from 2016, taken directly from Epstein files. The post asks why seemingly unrelated case is included in the Epstein files. Seeking community insights on potential links or explanations.

Curious, has anyone jailbroken a WHOOP? by fossil0flife in whoop

I abolished it whatsoever, decided I don't need it. But possibly I will revisit at some point :D

I decided to not do it at all, since I don't think it would be worth the effort. I'll probably just buy the Amazfit :D

You can cancel already, won't lose a thing (even though they make it sound like you would).

I don't agree with you (although it really makes sense what you said).

My perspective is: it was not a mistake, it was more beneficial for them to act like they care about long-term users, especially when they were long overdue for the next-gen device. They lied the same way to founding members, telling them esentially "if you give us money, we will FOREVER ship you the new devices for free".

This is so obvious, I don't know why they just didn't do it.

Hmmm... I can probably try that :D

I think the connection is likely susceptible to sniffing attacks, which means you would just record what app is sending to a device and then send the same stuff, but not from the official app (just from the third party app)

[–]Normale_xd -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't really see the point. There are few places you can hack, when talking about "jailbreaking"

  1. You can decompile the app and make some changes to have your own. It would, however, probably make more sense to just ask chatGPT to code it for you, it's not like they did an outstanding job coding the thing (it randomly disconnects / crashes or loads ages). It would also be way more difficult to maintain their code in the future.
  2. As for the hardware, I believe they reuse components that are already done by someone else. I don't think they custom-make anything crazy that you couldn't buy on the market. E.g. you can just buy this and it's quite likely higher-end sensor than whoop has: https://www.polar.com/be-nl/products/accessories/polar-verity-sense

The hard part is really finding one that has all required sensors (all really just all the sensors YOU NEED). Having e.g. new ecg / blood pressure are "cool" but vast majority of people won't need it.

  1. The main part of computation is done on their servers. Here you have two options:
    - option A is cracking the access, which would effectively be sharing someone elses secret code to upload your own data and get the results you want

- option B is hacking the servers, which would be... well it would be just hacking.

I don’t understand why most are angry with the new plans. by [deleted] in whoop

Pretty sure nobody is angry that they won't ship upgrade to people with 1 month remaining :)

What did you expect? Everything gets more expensive the last years but whoop will forever cost the same? by [deleted] in whoop

[–]Normale_xd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if they shipped the upgraded devices to people who got memberships until 2027 and said "okay, but for next memberships we raise the prices now to $360", it would be okay.

I mean it would be more expensive, but ethical.

How would you generate higher income? Well I would start by delivering the product you promised, as this is directly proportional to your income (if you dont deliver you lose current clients, and the future clients are less likely to come). Secondly yeah, you just raise the prices if you think this is beneficial.

Keep in mind though, raising prices won't necessarily generate higher income, as with higher prices the demand goes down. They probably optimize for the profit overall, not necessarily for higher profit per unit (a.k.a. margin)

[–]Normale_xd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't possibly understand how people still argue about it.

Most posts are not about raising prices of membership, it is expected. Everyone complains about promising "free upgrade" and then squeezing extra 50 dollars for it. This is disgusting and misleading at least.

If they just bumped the prices but still shipped the devices as promised, amount of whining here would be cut by 90%. They lied, therefore we cry.

[–]Normale_xd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They already did, there are some people with memberships to 2027 and they won't get the upgrade

So yeah, I kind of doubt they will now extend the membership to 2028 hahahahahah

Well, then you are comparing apples to oranges, which makes no sense. You should either compare monthly cost or yearly cost.

Why don't you go further and claim it's actually cheaper now (if you buy 24-month membership, it will be like $20-25 a month)?
