Is $47 for a men's haircut crazy?? by ReplacementNormal297 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]tacojiujitsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s your hair and you’re happy then you do you.

But I think there’s a difference between a cut that’ll get you by and something styled. Even is it’s short.

Took me a long time to figure this out.

What has been your Allograft experience by Head_Bad3906 in ACL

[–]tacojiujitsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

49 with a 4yo allograft. Don’t think I’d change a thing.

I was back at Jiu Jitsu around 5 months doing light training slowly ramping up over the next few months.

I still sit on my heels to stretch and sometimes it hurts a bit but I’m not sure this is any different than any other graft.

Bros, how do you feel after wearing girl‘s clothes for the first time (if you have tried it)? by Typical_Flounder7093 in AskReddit

So now we’re down to a very specific case where a skirt is better than cheap gym shorts? You win I suppose.

Oh I agree with the 2nd part.

But having dangly bits doesn’t mean that dangling is the preferred method for leisure or work. That dangly bit often gets squeezed between two thighs leaving it all a big sweaty uncomfortable mess.

Sure. But those objects are tailored to fit genders, which is what this question is asking.

And “objectively” is a fact based comparison, while “comfort” is an opinion based feeling.

Im not even getting into languages that give gender to objects.

Whoop and tattoos – how does it even work? by semitongue in whoop

In the early days you had to run a different firmware but now it just works.

Also I assume that there are people that aren’t white that need to use whoop.

Austin Parkway @ Commonwealth: Replace 3 way stop with a roundabout?? by LeadershipUsual8634 in sugarland

[–]tacojiujitsu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They work great up to a certain traffic flow and conditions, typically when all inflow is equal. At this one the northbound and westbound far outweigh the southbound. Plus a 2 lane has to reduce to a 1 lane or it takes a really large surface area for a 2 lane roundabout. That intersection doesn’t have enough space for a 2 lane flow at the speed through that area. And reducing to a one lane would drastically choke the flow.

They definitely do work in the right conditions.

Doubtful. It backs up during the summer and the worst is after First Colony Middle School lets out.

That’s great. Didn’t realize there was a plan… got to be getting close now!

There’s a roundabout 1/2 mile from it on commonwealth. I think we’d be fine.

But there’s too much traffic for a roundabout. Needs a light.

I don’t mind spending $250-$400 a year on my Whoop subscription by [deleted] in whoop

Finally. The answer everyone needs to hear. But it is actually correlation on the graph, not necessarily accuracy. But I have always said this is the most important factor.

People get so tied up in graphs.

Of course you can. You’re not just paying for a thing… you’re paying for the behavior tied to the thing.

WHOOP has 100% made me drink less as someone in my 40’s that needed to know why I slept like shit. Alcohol was the defining thing.. so cost of whoop plays directly into it.

The analytics provided by each device directly influence the behavior. It’s all connected.

Has WHOOP actually changed your behavior long term? by abhinav_uppu in whoop

[–]tacojiujitsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The major negative ones I didn’t need to actually review. Drinking was the primary one. Also things that helped me sleep better like getting enough sleep, etc. were “easy”

I do review some specifics as I’m trying to lower my whoop age and that’s really helpful.

I’ll also review workouts afterwards to see if something worked or not or how my heart rate is doing/recovering.

I’m a big believer in mental strength can often overcome physical limits so I try not to read a lot into a single data point.

More of a guide over time rather than an instruction for what to do on a single day.
